The Chippy - Weapon Of Choice?

I had chippy chips for the first time in 8 weeks on Thursday.....I purposely bought far too many ... so on Friday the remainder were microwaved and covered in curry.

Chinese chips are not fried in dripping, a very different beast from chippy chips. I do prefer not tasting melted cow for an hour or two afterwards.

For forty years my local chippy sold slime as chips. Utter carp. Crap. Now in the last two years of time... They make fantastic chips. When the world is ending? Dry white is usedvby many chip shops. Beef dripping. Fk the veg nuts.  A fish supper for me. Single fish with chips a fiver. Once a month. My local is open. Covid malarkey . What DOJ you want? I stand outside shop. A fish supper, salt n vinegar please. .. It's ready. Cash or card? Cash. They step back . I step forward . Leave cash on counter. I step back. They lift order onto counter and step back I grab food and run down road to cave. Me like precious.  The shop dance.  A virus is not paint. It's in the air. O.003 microns in size . You cannot avoid it.

Chinese cow curry does have a quite different flavour. I am not 100% sure I like it but I am able to confirm in my yoof I did eat it a lot after beer.

I used to put on for a Hong kong guy that ran a small takeaway but was barred from all the local bookies cos he used to kick off so much when they got beat.Always same bet 300 on the nose...always favourite, only time i kept the bet was when he backed Diminuendo at 8/15 for the Leger...i had 200 e/w Minster Son figuring that was certain to place...won at 15/2 although I took 11/2 at about 1pm!!!Couldn't be in the shop at race time..made out id been arrested Saturday night next time i saw him,said i had lost the betting slip..never tempted to keep any more bets...but these Chinese takeaways are a licence to print money
