Why do they answer the questions by looking to their screen at the side? The questioner will be seeing them full on so watch the camera on front!

People are vastly missing the point. UK travel advice is essential only so nobody should going on a normal holiday. Why would anyone want to come to the UK for a holiday when everything is shut? There's no economic incentive. The measure are effectively a short term deterrent.

In most cases people being tested are in theory symptomatic, apart from screening. If the do get symptoms down the track they can get another test.

Foxy, you have to provide an online place of stay to the Irish authorities for 14 days afaik.

Looks the same as UK (to me), change altogether in policy now.

There will be limited exemptions and a full list will be published on gov.uk. They include:

road haulage and freight workers, to ensure the supply of goods is not impacted
medical professionals who are travelling to help with the fight against coronavirus
anyone moving from within the Common Travel Area, covering Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man
Seasonal Agricultural Workers who will self-isolate on the property where they are working

Rte/news/coronavirus/travel to Ireland.

Googling that will get what you can expect there, dates are from 28th May and reviewed 18th June.
It seems to be all arrivals irrespective of common travel area.

Can't see Leo allowing unrestricted travel to Ireland from the UK any time soon Grin Though I suppose there's a backdoor via NI for anyone keen enough.
