Every social media outlet such as FB/Twitter etc. and national level internet forum such as Betfair have paid influencers acting as regular members of the social network/community.
Algorithmic accounts are used on social medias to push agendas/news messages and don't engage in open chat with other users.
On a forum such as Betfair we are engaging with independent thought so human paid influencers are needed.
In this instance their job is not to openly push a particular agenda but to stifle and shut down any opposing factual views their employers dictate, this will include abusing a community member with an opposing viewpoint creating a divide no matter of the validity that viewpoint and ensuring these views are removed or  the community member is removed either directly or indirectly through provocation reaction.
The hours will often be long and you'd be tied to a forum almost indefinitely so not good for a family person this would have to be taken into consideration should you contemplate taking up such a role even if it isn't 'real work' in an accepted working sense.
I'd expect the hourly rate to be low so likely a flat monthly rate but how much? would you need multiple community accounts to make it pay? would you be able to work for multiple sites closing down the same channels of discussion?
Can any forum members shed some light as it could be a tidy sideline for someone who already spends large portions of their spare time posting on forums.

Denzil to get a job as an influencer you have to reach a certain level of sophistication which rules you out.

These influencers shut down free speech they are usually pro PC/woke in the current enforced state.
They are anti free speech and free thought they attack others with opposing views.

Betfair forum used to be the greatest single place for betting knowledge

If you ask about something that interests you regarding gambling you will likely get some good replies along with some witty ones

Sometimes the answers are sent by dm or on twitter as folk get fed up with abuse

Some folk have thicker skins

The content is monitored and any subject matter which which is deemed unacceptable to talk about (not content breaking the law or false) is ahut down by the methods outlined in the OP.

If anyone is getting paid to  influence people on here they are not doing a very good job but they might as well take the money in these very uncertain times

I think folk spend their lives getting folk banned and posts removed

One of them is a hero of the forum

Work that one out

People that stick their heads above the parapets are open
to vile abuse from trolls following them around for years
posting the same abuse.

It's almost as if the trolls don't want any gambling related
chat on a gambling forum

I agree to a certain extent in the case of this site the influencers operate on Politics and Chit Chat due to the subject matter.
I agree it is strange that there are members of a gambling community forum that don't gamble.

I agree which is why I find it strange that there are members of a gambling community forum that don't gamble.

No I didn't name him, but it was obvious who I meant but it's a general thing.

It seems therefore you want freedom of speech for those you agree with

And turn a blind eye, or two, to those shutting down freedom of speech if they
post stuff you agree with

Quite an informative thread all in all.

I want freedom of speech for all subjects it doesn't matter who agrees or disagrees, only posts that should be removed are personally abusive and threatening ones imo.

That post refers to post removal on this forum ^^^ and not the overall thread topic
