Interesting stuff for sure
It's been allowed to rip across London with public transport and airports open
Citizens of London have been exposed to all the various strains of Chinese Flu as foreigners from around the globe have arrived
Report tobermory May 13, 2020 9:51 PM BST
If lock down suppression was limiting new cases would expect it to have a more uniform effect, OR to have the opposite effect from what we are seeing in the numbers; that the worst area in March would be the last to come under control because areas with few cases would have been prevented from catching up by their lock down.

Seems the virus just runs it's course until infected people are just running into people that have already been infected. And that is now happening in London.

I thought March 23rd was the day everyone locked down.

Can't recall if different areas had different measures before then, thought it was all centralized advice.

Lockdown was officially the same day all over uk

However people were advised to stay out of pubs before pubs were closed.

Those areas earliest hit by corona saw more folk stay home before official
lockdown.

Might explain the results, might not, but possible explanation.

Yep. And 10-20% herd immunity could kick in according to the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine paper...

No one knows the true numbers to anything

They release what they wanna release

Who - "It may never go away"... well if that's the case lets all just get back to our day then? oh no can't do that

Its beyond ridiculous, one minute there's a vaccine breakthrough, the next there's no vaccine at all, then there might be one by "October", then its not until next year

"it may never go away" to "herd immunity" can be achieved

Fack right off Crazy

Nothing like the war? Nothing compared to the Blitz?

My God the people in this country are pathetic if they think this is hardship. I am sure there is hardship out there, big financial worries even hunger for some but I might suggest if your children are not picking out grains of rice in the sand or looking for food to eat in rubbish dumps you might not know what real worry and hardship is.

We are so lucky in this country. Even  the air  is relatively fresh and the water is clean. I have absolutely no time for whinges who think this is tough.

Those old people born just before the war are tough though.

Why is the food situation so grave?  Have these homes our children are being evacuated to been inspected,
Is it safe for small boats to cross the channel, should ordinary members of the public be risking their lives this way, isn’t it the Government’s responsibility, how many lives could be saved by surrendering Mr Churchill.

My mum was evacuated, lived in south London, she was one of six kids, her and two brothers went, she said she had a great time, stayed with a couple and their children in a
large Manor House.

Her brothers weren’t so lucky, ended up on some s**ty little farm in Kings  Lynn, where they worked them like slaves, my grandmother managed to get up there to see them after 6months, was so disgusted by the state of the boys and where they were kipping, she brought them straight back home with her.
