Whatever Boris said or did he would've faced criticism.  Imo it's time to ease restrictions slightly and that is the effect of the plans.  Not everyone will behave identically, but they never would, and what matters is how on average people behave.  The economic damage will be by far the biggest killer in the long run and Boris has responsibility for the economy.

There was no gain to be had from a simple Yes, we would all of missed the opportunity of watching you make a fool of yourself.

I thought it was very clear, he wants everyone to go out, without making it sound too gung ho, the scientists are curious to see what the "R" will do, we already know that Vallance likes this approach.

They need to see if there is any chance of the bit by bit approach working but we're probably taking the first tentative steps toward the herd immunity approach once again, which ultimately will be the only way to deal with this long term, as unpleasant and worrying as that is.

We must surely all know by now that social distancing prohibits getting back to normal, the economy cannot recover if we are having to adopt social distancing because that in itself is a business killer, you can open up every workplace you like, if everything is operating at a one third capacity then they are finished.

If you want to open up the economy you aren't doing it with social distancing tying one hand behind business's backs.

Fortunately a lot of people won't do it,they have caught on and one things for sure they won't let their kids go back to school and
workplaces will have to provide the rught consitions as unions will make sure..
