‘Died after testing positive’.

Misinformation abounds. They’ve invented phrases to cloud the truth which actually admit they’re being economical.

MADRID (Reuters) - A cat belonging to a family in the Spanish region of Catalonia tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the professor who conducted an autopsy on the pet said on Friday. Shocked

What is Bojo going to tell us on Sunday? Bit of an open goal telling all the joggers and cyclists to carry on doing what they are doing already. Will he have anything else to cheer us up with?
Report Injera • May 8, 2020 5:12 PM BST
They can’t say the lockdown = fewer cases. We don’t know to what extent herd immunity weakens the virus.

Report morpteh mackem • May 8, 2020 5:20 PM BST

Report Baphornet • May 8, 2020 5:20 PM BST
George is standing on frodos box
Report Injera • May 8, 2020 5:21 PM BST
Surely the R rate can’t be treated as a National ‘all places’ guide.

If the virus is in care homes and hospitals, it’s going to go up. Among younger, healthy people it will come down.

Classic case of a stat defining policy when a more holistic approach is more sensible.
Report nineteen points • May 8, 2020 5:21 PM BST
been on 20mins and said nowt.
Report peckerdunne • May 8, 2020 5:21 PM BST
How are you going to keep the R below 1 and open up the economy when some ares are clearly not below 1 currently

They have little to no ability in showing how the "R" is calculated, we may never know how many owed so little to so many in Government...

This, more than any other 'crisis' has shown how little the people in power actually deserve to be there...
Report Injera • May 8, 2020 5:25 PM BST
pecker, if they’re using a national average of the R rate it’s pointless. It MUST be done regionally whilst hospital/care homes treated separately.
Report Baphornet • May 8, 2020 5:25 PM BST
no wonder it takes them 3 months to decide how many sugars to have in their coffee
Report peckerdunne • May 8, 2020 5:27 PM BST

There are around 300 ,000 workers in care homes in the UK . Why were these workers not tested immediately . Should have been done in less than a week ?
Report Baphornet • May 8, 2020 5:29 PM BST
better than "not got  a feckin clue" tbf
Report Injera • May 8, 2020 5:29 PM BST
I reckon the R rate is guessed at using an algorithm which is open to many interpretations.
Report peckerdunne • May 8, 2020 5:33 PM BST
SUCH BOLLOX

Testing is not strategy, you have no strategy
Report peckerdunne • May 8, 2020 5:34 PM BST

Report Injera • May 8, 2020 5:35 PM BST
Professor John Edmunds, from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, also warned the ongoing crisis tearing through care homes has driven up Britain's R0, the rate at which each person will go on to infect another, to 0.9.

- ring of steel around care homes. Staff and residents tested daily. Let the rest of the country get back to work.
