But Theresa May got brexit done with a better deal than Boris?

^

What you talking about?

T May wanted alignment in rules with the EU on goods (with no say) which meant no trade deals with USA etc. Chequers deal she drew up with disgraceful and thankfully binned after Boris took back control and got us to Brexit and hopefully now get us out with with no deal.

I think the majority of posters on here, if knocked over by a bus tomorrow would blame Boris.

Most of the posters on here are out everyday trying to get knocked down by a bus to support the argument to end the lock downGrin

He must be under a lot of pressure too.

Not everybody deals with it too well.

Mrs May must have aged 15 years during her brief time in charge.

No time soon. He still has the overwhelming support of those who supported him in the first place. He might only lose that once the full economic crash happens, and even then I don't think it's a guarantee, it depends how much they can blame on the coronavirus, though certainly if we were to crash bigger than elsewhere then he might hit rocky ground. Right now the cult is still strong, indeed I see a lot of the cult on Twitter and the likes moaning about the likes of The Sun, The Mail, Telegraph headlines, papers they were lauding 6 months ago.

n88uk,  do you think he has support because the people who voted for him dont want to think they were wrong in there choice and he is the person to see us through it.or do they not want to think they have been shown to be wrong in there choice?

same reasons as why brexit has support, people who voted for it now realise their errors but too proud to admit they ere wrong. .
second referendum is  required, remain would be a cakewalk.

Question for those who blame Boris for the virus deaths. What are you hoping for from his speech later. Do you want the country to remain locked down or are you hoping for restrictions to be lifted to get the economy moving again?

just a very, very gradual phase of reopening laying. things open that should never have been closed, activities allowed that shouldn't have been banned.  golf courses, garden centres, fishing for starters. encourage more exercise rather than stifle it.

laying i am not blaming him personally. its his government and advisers at fault.he is head of them so blame will fall at his feet the same way as acclaim for success.

i want to be treat like an adult who has managed to get through this and life ok up to now on my own and not lead by the hand like a fool.listen to this speighelberger chap.he is speaking the truth and common sense!

Boris is to blame for some of the deaths as he is our leader and the only person who can enact policy. He was cavalier in his attitude at first then too slow to follow good actions of other countries.

His speech tonite sounds about right, but unusual for him his new slogan is carp.

Slow unlock, get more business open where safe, and Ffs please wear a mask whenever possible.

But getting it about right now doesn't mitigate all the previous errors

There will be a second wave with the rubbish he will come out with tonight, stay alert!! This stay at home should go on for another 3 weeks at least, he is too weak, after all those koonts out sunbathing again yesterday, shocking, he should be saying that is totally wrong and put the Army out to help old bill, we are telling you to stay home, that is what he should be saying, anyone not obeying, chuck them in jail, no arguments.

well that was interesting - not. I don't think the GBP will be any the wiser as all that has done ismuddy the waters further. Two updates to come; one tomorrow then Wednesday; will it appease the growing concern? Very much doubt it no matter what the MSM polls conspire

Boris has no jurisdiction in health issues of devolved administrations.
