Do you think the morning quarterbacks are helpful foxy? Only caught a bit of it but he wants more testing. No sh1t.
By:
He doesn't have to deal with any of the economic consequences, and I assume has a pile of cash in the millions so won't suffer personally. Very easy in that case to come across as putting immediate health first.

well Blair didn't turn up; but he sent The Burnley Dobbin in his place

Well obviously there’s far to many of them, but in the case of brown I would like to see him very much involved especially about the financial get out.
By:
I genuinely think we're in the most capable hands with Rishi. Time will tell. I don't envy his task!
By:
Me to he has been very very good for someone so young ,but perhaps the experience of brown would make him even better.
I wasn’t for 1 minute trying to take anything away from Rishi. |
By:
Rishi may turn out to be good but let's face it, all he has done is dish out money to furloughed workers etc. Folks like that.
By:
By:
I think brown is still very heavily involved in this modern world.
By:
Perhaps foxy. However he is or was a Labour politician at the end of the day.
By:
Has his policy changed on Muslim paedophile rapist grooming gangs?
Should be hanging by the balls with Blair |
By:
He's a Bilderberg member so is definitely involved in the modern world that's why he keeps saying the word GLOBAL

Brown is rapidly being rehabilitated as current leaders fail to coordinate a global plan to current world crisis
But be careful as it was partially his light touch that helped the financial crisis rip through our banks He does seem to have a decent brain but his presentation does let him down at times He was far better with Bliar to front up for him. |
By:
the brains behind the charisma; so to speak
By:
I do think Bliar is akin to Johnson in that they can sell other people's plans
I really don't think I can see what Bliar really stood for, and he still pops up plugging this and that and I just see a car salesman who might be at a different dealership by time I want a new car. |
By:
i think you just nailed him completely. He was what 'new labour' needed at the time; & now they have Momentum
By:
I think John Smith was heading for no 10, he died and they cobbled a pact to have a united front. It was a good idea having Bliar as leader as they all thought he would do what they wanted as did the media barons. Encouraged by Bliars lack of real beliefs.
Major suffered by being undermined from within so there was nothing really to stop Bliar and a massive majority meant his advisors could ignore Brown whilst letting him get on with running the finances. Maybe I do Bliar a disservice but I still don't see much to suggest I have. Of course his legacy was shattered before it ever existed, if it ever would have. |
By:
i still think the biggest mistake ye made was choosing numpty bro over David for leader
By:
I'm not really a fixed Labour supporter, and had quite a bit of empathy with dave Cameron against either of those.
Can't see me ever voting against my local Labour mp who I like Nor my independent councillors As per other thread, sunak would make an interesting pm one day But I don't really know too much about him. Maybe him and Starmer could have some decent debates one day. |
By:
some of you may remember at the time that GB was forewarned in very strong terms not to relax corporate takeover regulations he ignored them so this opened the floodgates to all the worldwide mainly usa some hong kong arab etc asset strippers this was pre online shopping or at the very start of that Debenhams at the time owned all the shops and was worth a lot they got asset stripped the estate was then sold to insurance companies who then rented the properties back to debenhams and what a fkin great success thats been thats just one example
next lets look how he fked up the uk pension markets basically we are a bankrupt nation dont let the libtards tell you we are the 5th richest nation all that means is we've got the 5th highest debt on our credit card nhs £385 million a day who the fcks paying that i think its about 40% gdp if you doubled that to 770 it still wouldnt be enough and 80% gdp we are bankrupt |

It was brutal the way Blairites wrote John Smith out of Labour party history.
Late 90s there were various books and articles establishing the narrative that Labour was on its knees, totally unelectable, and then Tony came along to turn it all around by himself From what I recall, when John Smith died, Labour were 15-20pts clear in the polls, and there was a consensus among pundits that if Smith had been leader in '92, rather than Kinnock, that Labour would have won then. |

The EU elections were held on the 23rd May 2019. As you will see, my post regarding prices I had backed the Brexit Party at was dated 27th April 2019, roughly four weeks before the event. Is that aftertiming? |

Would have been interesting to see John Smith fight an election.
He was an interesting bloke with a wide backing amongst Labour members and population at large. I remember debating with my friends about how he would cope as pm, and then their dispair as the party fell into the hands of Bliar after his death. |

tobermory, you're probably right about smith. GPB were never gonna elect Kinnock. the tories were then always on a loser after black Wednesday and finished off from a series of sex and financial misdemeanours from the hilarious back to basics policy
as for brown never understand why the MSM continually wheel out former PMs as though we should hang on to their every word as gospel. most people have long since had enough of them by the time they get booted out certainly don't want to hear from them decades later |
