Oh, and female of course, she's got the identity full house

By:
She is working on the front line
Some may comment on her skin colour to rally support. Same old.... |
By:
Sad to see this type of post. Why can't you accept this person as an elected MP?
By:
And her gender,... Oh dear
BINGO |
By:
I have no issue she is an elected MP. I'd be more impressed if she wasn't using her part time job as a blatant tactic for laying down a cheap shot using emotional blackmail.
By:
Cider, can you please provide details of the "cheap shot".

Mr Speaker
In welcoming Dr Rosena Allin-Khan, may I say thank you for what you and all the staff do in the NHS, saving lives? It is appreciated. Dr Rosena Allin-Khan (Tooting) (Lab) Thank you very much, Mr Speaker. If I may, I would like to start by saying a huge thank you, on behalf of us all in the Chamber today and all those watching, to our NHS and care staff, who are working so hard on the frontline. Frontline workers like me have had to watch families break into pieces as we deliver the very worst of news to them: that those they love most in this world have died. The testing strategy has been non-existent. Community testing was scrapped, mass testing was slow to roll out and testing figures are now being manipulated. Does the Secretary of State commit to a minimum of 100,000 tests each day going forward? Does he acknowledge that many frontline workers feel that the Government’s lack of testing has cost lives and is responsible for many families being unnecessarily torn apart in grief? Matt Hancock No, I do not. I welcome the hon. Lady to her post as part of the shadow Health team, and I think she might do well to take a leaf out of the shadow Secretary of State’s book on tone. I am afraid that what she said is not true; there has been a rapid acceleration in testing in the past few months in this country, including getting to 100,000 tests a day. We have been entirely transparent on the way that has been measured throughout, and I have confidence that the rate will continue to rise. Currently, capacity is 108,000 a day, and we are working to build that higher. Of course, we have been working very hard to make the testing capacity grow as fast as possible, and as more tests are available, so we are able to make them available to more people and test people right across the NHS. I pay tribute, too, to the work of NHS and social care staff on the frontline; nothing should take away from the team spirit with which we approach this. |

I think at this juncture her time would be better spent working as a medic in the NHS caring for her patients than a politician. Then again how many would given the exposure politics can bring to assist their political ambition.
By:
cider would you rather she shook infected peoples hands and spread the virus for the "cheap shots"?
By:
By:
Yeah and the speaker was doing well in my book since he was elected, but that was a dreadfully cringey virtue signal.

hancock giving it , THE DO YOU NO WHO I AM,stance against a woman volunteering on the frtont line a mouthpiece for nhs workers in London, hancock basically declaring war on nhs workers, her,ll be getting hammered by cummings and doris as we speak,24 hrs of bad headlines, handjobs a liability ,like Andrew bridgen starting wars they cant win at present,
its the tory party arranging Thursday clapping,we no who the essential workers are real hero,s blah, blah, they,ve put public service workers on a pedestal themselves , now have to bite the bullet and take it on the chin,i,m afraid |
By:
It's been posted by someone else now, so even less legwork.
By:
That's the agenda don't criticize the tories forget the deaths and carry on,lessons will be learn't carry on listening to the BBC,SKY,ITV maybe they can inform you about how johnson was near death,or the babies name etc or some more subterfuge but whatever you do don'y mention 60,000 deaths and incompotence..Absolutely pathetic and backed up by out subervient media..

By:
Which particular element of her comments do you take offence to ?
By:
perhaps cider you would prefer Helen Whately or Therese Coffee after seeing them being interviewed by Piers Morgan?
But no you chose yourself to cheap shot a lady who is working trying to save lives because she is a woman, a muslim, a Labour Party Mp? Any other reasons or is doing her job and scrutinising the Health Minister regarded by you as a cheap shot? You Sir appear to have mugged yourself off and shown your true colours, cowardly they are too if I may say. |
By:
I'm not offended, I'm annoyed that msm and tw@tter has come out with the usual blind support, due to the identities I've listed, in my opinion. I'd be a lot more impressed if her question didn't reference her part time NHS work, too much to hope for I accept.
By:
Plenty of other MPs have gone back into healthcare to help in the crisis, they are not looking for credit though, or weaponising it.
By:
i will ask you again cider.would you rather she shook hands with infected patients for her "cheap shot"
By:
The word is gotcha!
Everyone knows what you are about. Move on and try and be nice. It doesn't hurt. |
By:
You would prefer her to cease her hospital work
Or just keep it zipped instead of expressing her pride in helping our country? |
By:
I'm assuming if she was any kind of a&e doctor she would have shaken patients hands. I'm not in a position to know either way.
By:
Maybe these amazingly great people who step forward in times of crisis like captain Tom should just keep their own company too
Not give us all a lift in times of bother |
By:
Just ask questions in her capacity of being Shadow Minister for Mental Health would be nice. But she couldn't help herself, and yes she was reading from a script.
By:
Oh dear she can read and write
Another shocker for you cider |
By:
She's a smart cookie of Pakistani and Polish heritage. However, repeatedly referencing her role as a medic was unnecessary, but fairly typical for a politician from the Labour Party. On the other hand I've noticed no such behaviour from the Conservative Party or Liberal Party though.
Maybe this is one of the traits of someone with Pakistani heritage; Mr Khan did the same, but because he was only an unknown lawyer (not a QC) he referenced the occupation of his dad instead. |
