Who the hell was that racist going on about Trevor Philips ; if it had been a whitey he'd have been reported to the police. Just because he sounded like a paki stani he was able to get away with it.
By:
4000 was just an estimate but the need to release them is no longer there.
By:
Her question was inferring when are more prisoners going to be released early (without being explicit)
By:
That young girl asking about the prisoner releases was clearly angling for the gates to be opened ;who assesses the suitability of some of these daft questions.

They are not solicited at all apparently, the talk radio girl said she got told an hour before, who was doing the briefing and where she was on the list for the day.
By:
Not sure why they is "no need" for them to be realeased, they are within 2 months of getting out,1,800 possible cases and 19 deaths to 28th Apl would say otherwise.

Have the government made an announcement that they will no longer proceed with their previously announced plan ?
If they had, I reckon Mr Gove might have mentioned it. |
By:
You asked me why I'm bothered she asked the question. Who cares about this now? How many viewers do you think had early prisoner release on the minds?
By:
She obviously cares, quite why that should be, I don't know, perhaps you could get in contact with her and ask.
Would you prefer that she asks a question provided to her by the government or is free to ask a question of her own choosing ? |
By:
I'd prefer she'd ask a question that was in the public interest than scoring brownie point with her twatter chums. It's a free world, she was entitled to ask the question just as I'm entitled to be critical of it.
By:
It is in the public interest, the Tory goverment said they are releasing 4,000 prisoners on humane grounds in the midst of a pandemic, they released 33.

By:

By:
Perhaps the government were engaged in "virtue signalling" when they made the original announcement, what about that as a possibility ?

By:
The press tonight exceeded there normal stupid questions
Is it because of racism What about the low life in the prisons Was it a waste of time building the nightingale hospitals All 3 journalists should have been lined up and shot |
By:
You should be grateful to some of these journalists, they were very vocal in their support of the banning of fox hunting.
By:
The problem is that since these briefings started the press on the whole have been asking questions which are tricky in as much there's no precise answer and many of the questions have been framed to try to paint the Government in a bad light when they are obviously trying to do their best in horrendous circumstances. The focus at the moment is to imply that the Government made a mistake in setting up the Nightingale hospitals and over ordering ventilators.
As cider rightly , in my opinion says , who really worries that maybe only 33 prisoners have been released early, however I should perhaps declare that in my view anyone who racks up three convictions should be locked up for a long time. Today's question by the young lady was just a silly attempt to virtue signal her politics. Quite what the bloke who was bad mouthing Trevor Philips was trying to achieve is anybody's guess. Unfortunately his English wasn't easily understandable so missed what newspaper/magazine he works for. I'd scrap the questions forthwith. |

33 to many

By:
the bloke was right, phillips offered an opinion about 6 weeks ago that there was very few deaths in the Asian/muslim cumminityy because of their relentless hand washing[wont go into details ] now he,s chairing an enquiry into excess deaths in BAME,doesnt bother me but some might think he kept his mouth shut for been wrong ,rather than leading an equiry into why he was wrong
By:
Philips live on tv before he got the job already doubted the vitamin d,, low skilled essential jobs frontline argument, even though a week later been poor from a poor area is seen as a major reason,so he and his team jave already been completely wrong twice, so cant blame people from BAME community not to have a lot of confidence in him

By:
And the mngral who asked about the nightingales seemed very angry that not all the beds were filled they should be ashamed of themselves the public ask better questions

The banning of fox hunting (pest control ) really started the terrorist organisation RSPCA's anti horse racing campaign which has been run by terrorists like Jane Tredgett and Bob Bayliss.
I very much hope that in his second term Boris reverses the fox hunting ban and sticks two fingers up to those whose aim is to destroy country pursuits. |
By:
I live in the country and a pursuit for me is going for a nice walk . I see the odd fox , sometimes deer , ocasional badger and once a wild boar .
It would never cross my mind to run them into the ground with a pack of dogs whilst wearing a funny outfit astride a horse . What am I missing ? |
By:
the boozing & shàgging after a hunt
By:
Lived in London for over 50 years . In the last 5 of them I would struggle not to see a fox . They would even come and sit outside my front window .
Rarely see one now and I am surrounded by fields and forest . |
By:
The point is eyeball that a lot of people living in the country enjoyed the hunting tradition and it was an effective method of pest control. Whilst I don't hunt myself I very much enjoyed seeing them on the roads with the pack and in the fields at full cry.
Nothing wrong with your pursuit eyeball ;I too walk in the country on a regular basis. |

Crowds used to gather for hangings where St James Park Newcastle is today
Now we just watch them kick a pigs bladder Times change I don't have any strong feelings for or against fox hunting, but it is currently more or less illegal along with **** fighting, badger baiting and dog fighting. I guess all of these still go on today... |

A lot of people enjoyed ducking women or bating bears but I think that was misconstrued and barbaric . I rarely see a fox but loads of rabbits .
Nature always has a way of creating an equilibrium , without the help of humans who more often than not , destroy it . Doesn't mean I'm right , just the my opinion ![]() |

By:
I was worried a hunting with hounds ban would see farmers wipe out foxes
But there seems to remain an uneasy tolerance on most sides. Most fox kills still seem to be car accidents |
By:
Him who asked the question about the nightingale hospital needs feeding to the foxes.
By:
more seem bothered about these country traditions than the drugging and raping of young white girls.
By:
4000 bed nightingale hospital looks like getting mothballed this week,so its a legitimate question
By:
By the way, the question was asked by The Telegraph who have reported on it today.
By:
A legitimate question it would have been more legitimate if they hadn’t built it and we ran out of beds, ffs as we stand we didn’t need them that’s great news I am sorry if is annoys or disappoints some people ,in particular the press who clearly don’t want this to end .
