you link with specialists from other countries for the sole reason that one day one of you lot may find a solution; much on the lines of even a blind squirrel etc etc

1M is WHO guidance. I suspect that SD 2M for psychological reasons here. Can probably be relaxed now it's become part of everyday life.

tests for masks show spread clouds travel 6/8 m,
hardly makes sense to use evidence to promote mask wearing then reduce social distancing to a metre |
|

we have to start coming out of lockdown. so some measures have to be relaxed

the analogy is scales and if you move something on one side you need to balance it with something else on the other

The unwinding measures will be a failing on both the Govt and public's side. If you give the public a yard hey'll take a mile, if you do that before you can deal with the consequence i.e. track and trace and too few tests still being done and the results will be poor.
That being said what I think is happening, to a degree is a little like what is happening in the States, there will be a releasing of the lock down with the realizeation from Govt that the public will not adhere to it, but they are curious to see what the numbers will do off the back of it, whilst having the safety net that they have told us to take it easy so to speak. If the figures are good they will know that that has really been achieved whilst people have probably been pushing it, so that would augur well going forward. If it goes bad they can fall back on the fact that they tried the release measures gradually so they would have "shielded" themselves somewhat. |

care homes are an environment that can be controlled. so what's important in regard to releasing measures (outside care homes) is the r number and the new positives being admitted to hospital.

There should be no bames having to work in a public place if they are 3 times worse off if catching it,while we are all in it together, they are in it more than anyone.
Pull the whole lot of them out if there was any compassion, let Prittis 8 million "step up" |

trouble is going to mass gatherings is what they do before it eg going to the pub, well open the racecourses etc for all , but do not open the pubs bars, it would be nice going to a racemeeting without the drunks and yobs

she said you could go to football etc because its outdoors.you cant go to pub cos people sit around on top of each other and its a far more dangerous environment.well in my pub we dont sit breathing on each other.everyone has plenty space.when i have been sitting at football i am far closer to folk than in pub.also i get covered in spit from behind by feckers screaming at refs ,**** play etc.i know which environment is worse.but i suppose they say whatever suits their agenda and the sheep follow without question

someone needs to tell scientists and mp,s its not 1943,the only people outside at football are the players, the rest is one giant pub concourse, rammed into toilets, bar, kiosk queues
