British Transport police should be on these Tubes asking people what they are doing on them ...
Report 1st time poster • May 1, 2020 2:12 PM BST
following government/doris advice if you cant work from home ,go to work as normal
Report impossible123 • May 1, 2020 2:13 PM BST
I think there ought to be a Tfl staff member at the entrance of every carriage to ensure no more than eg 10 is allowed into one carriage. And, even before more commuters are allowed onto the platform every commuter could be asked to show their credential eg an essential worker card/letter from their employer.

At a time like the present liberty comes at a cost to others, and must be monitored dilligently.

Khan runs the TUBE not Boris , Government Guidelines clearly being Ignored

I think the question also needs to be asked as to How Many Left the sinking Ship in the past

6 weeks to go to friends and relatives nationwide .....
Report 1st time poster • May 1, 2020 2:20 PM BST
you don't need to be essential worker if you cant work from home your considered an essential worker, according to government/doris,they think 3 million more people should be at work and are going to try and get them to go next week,so TFL only going to get busier because TFL unions want it made safe for their drivers, the Brexit loons of course blame khan but khan begged doris and the government to close all construction sites in London, but they refused

BULLSHIT , the only Reason for the Lax approach to Lockdown , is Khan knows what will happen
if they try to enforce the Lockdown Rules , IT WILL KICK OFF ,BIG TIME !!!

Tube should have been shutdown 6 weeks ago , Bar Essential workers ............

They have not and are not Following the Rules ,why should the Rest of the UK be locked down

if some areas are not ???
Report 1st time poster • May 1, 2020 2:42 PM BST
if you cant work from home you can go to work in any town in the country ,you are not locked down, work wiser, there,s 3 million workers in all jobs who the government think should be at work ,and next week their going to use methods to nudge them back to work,
Report CLYDEBANK29 • May 1, 2020 2:45 PM BST
The drivers have their own carriage and don't deal with the public directly.  Daft decision to cut the tube service.

Incidentally Rory Stewart called on Sadiq Khan to step up on the 11th March, when it was clear the Government weren't, asking him to have daily COBR meetings and drilling down into the details of preparedness and Khan did feck all.

1tp that is totally incorrect , SD must be in place in any workplace , in many it is not possible ,hence millions being paid wages by the Gov ...

What is the point of SD if people are travelling on Mobbed transport to get there ??

Or is there any SD where they are going anyway ??

Where I live buses are 2 hourly on a lot of Services even then they are Empty , What is the point in certain parts of the country following procedure , when others are clearly not , it is time
for Lockdown rules by area , And the Isolation of High Risk areas ..

Which should have been done in the first place ...
Report impossible123 • May 1, 2020 3:30 PM BST
Mr Khan would not know how to deal with a situation like the present without advice from government and their experts; Mr Khan will never put his head above the parapet - he's a non-entity.

Those travelling into "work": They could be doing both eg receiving government handout and working at the same time (cash-in-hand).

Protesters in London take part in group hug in defiance of coronavirus lockdown outside Met Police headquarters

Protesters in London have been seen taking part in a "mass hug" outside Met Police's headquarters in defiance of the coronavirus lockdown.

The crowd outside New Scotland Yard, close to the Houses of Parliament, were seen hugging each other as others held signs reading: "My body, my choice."

Another at the protest on Saturday held a sign saying: "No more lockdown."

If correct, what a bunch of selfish toerags? They are only interested in promoting their own agenda and themselves. Why do they not protest outside a Covid-19 hospital? I'm sure the NHS staff will give them a piece of their mind (willingly).

A perverse abuse of liberty and democracy. Maybe these protesters ought to try China or Russia.

Demand for office space is never going to recover the cats out of the bag for those that can work from home and that is most if not all office staff, why spend money waste time travelling to work?
Why pay rent on office space?
All this of course will hit big cities like London hard the knock on affect will be painfull

I find it astonishing from the photo that people are not wearing gloves at the very least or masks and even glasses. Darwinism at work.
Report 1st time poster • May 3, 2020 10:06 AM BST
I think the protestors included conspiracy wallers blaming 5g masts, david icke supporters club members
