I have 2 weeks in aruba booked in September and had already paid £2K off a £5K balance when I stopped the direct debit. Balance is due at the end of June and they are stating if you dont pay it you'll lose what you've paid already knowing pretty much they wont be flying in Setember (in all likelyhood).
So do you pay the £3K and risk losing £5k or lose the £2K by not paying the balance. Quite happy to use the £2K off something next year (not given as an option yet) but loath to give them anymore and risk waiting to get it back or let them earn interst off it until they start up again.

just re-assess at the end of june.  Pay the balance by credit card if the position is the same.  At least you will get that back if it goes pear shaped.

I lost £400 on 17th of March with them Mr Spock,i won't pay the £900 then for early June, they were still trying to take money off people advertising holidays that haven't an earthly of happening.

I was happy to lose it as had no faith i would get refunded though they are atol, you would want a guarantee off them you would get refunded as cash not a voucher immediately if you paid, i couldn't get that and i didn't particulary want a holiday in going through airports, dirty looks when you arrive and social distancing in play.

I think they are in trouble and your own call, you at least need a guarantee off them to save hassle.

Thanks guys if they dont allow me to change it to next year by the time we have to pay the balance, then I think the credit card option is the best and least riskiest one. If TUI go under probably 90% of the rest will.
