Nobody knows yet. But it certainly spreads at an exponential rate compared to flu because everyone can get it. All of the restrictive measures are to control the spread, not because it's particularly deadly.

The flu fizzles out,but this CV could last until they find a cure or a vaccine,nobody knows ,in fact CV could last forever+one day.
The jury is still out and it looks like its the VIRUS itself will make the decision about fizzling out.

Flu is contained by established herd immunity and vaccine, although mutations each year still make it hostile to those with compromised immune systems.

Yes of course it's fundamentally different because there is a large amount of immunity built up in the population, so it can't spread nearly as much or as quickly.

It is similar to a pandemic flu like the Hong Kong flu or Spanish flu because they were new strains and there was no immunity, just like now.

As I said, the issue is the rate of spread, not how deadly it is.

Some countries controlled the spread from day 1 so it never got too out of hand and they didn't have to lock down. EU/US did nothing at the start, let the spread get out of hand and had to take very restrictive measures to reduce the spread back down to a low level (not there yet) and then they will be able to think about releasing lockdown.

It may be less deadly than flu, but if the spread gets out of hand too much then too many get infected at once, hosptials get overwhelmed, people can't get treatment and then it kills at a much higher rate than now and a much higher rate than seasonal flu. That is the case in every pandemic. The goal is to ensure that doesn't happen. Doing nothing at the start and letting it spread uncontrolled is why we are locked down now, not because it's particularly deadly or more deadly than flu.
