1918 Pandemic (H1N1 virus) was the worst pandemic in recent history. Unlike the current bastard; it attacked the healthy 20-40 yr olds more than anyone else; also under 5s came under particular fire. peak reached? Or not reached?; they can't even agree on that
i'm watching a senior consultant in communicable disease control Dr Bharat Pankhania, having absolutely none of the peak being reached
it is a series of outbreaks working its way around the country so london may be on the down slope whilst other areas are on the up slope or peaking. we briefly went over 1,000 deaths a day so my hope and clueless guess is that we have peaked. we need something to be positive about.
this expert is worse than 400 grim reapers. He's just said forget about the vaccine. "We've never made a Corona virus vaccine" says he, so why now?
i stopped watching, i thought hancock was pinning the nation's hopes on a vaccine? still, that was yesterday, i think 
if you think about this logically, Mr Swagman; we can't cure the common cold. The cynic in me thinks the pharms have a lot to do with that
Viruses aren't genetically programmed to kill. If the host dies, so does the virus.
i worked in pharmaceutical market research for a year and a half, a sobering and slightly depressing experience. i once tested marketing material which showed that the placebo was more effective than the drug being marketed 
if we get control with the lock down and then they scale up testing, isolating and contact tracing (not just with phones) then we have a chance but many phases of lock down and release seem possible at the moment.
i'd feel a lot more confident if a change of front line personnel takes place. Maybe we should start thinking outside the box & discuss with other entities away from the future fall guys. A task force of boffins that aren't from lala land. Yes i know, we have the best in the world
