Thanks for that Ang , I knew there must be some important import we required ..

Saffron is one of the world's most precious spices. Just a few strands are enough to flavour food. More recently, scientific reports and studies have been published that reveal a balancing effect on nerves, feelings and mood. Vitamins B6 and B12 as well as magnesium contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Pantothenic acid, also called vitamin B5, supports mental performance and contributes to the normal formation of neurotransmitters. With 1 saffron-nerve-capsule daily, you can support your mental performance and well-being as well as your resilience in work and everyday life.

That will be what the Young Scientists have been studying ...

Cashews absolutely on the list for the top nut, and you can't forget about macadamia's either.

They are dangerous and you demanding everyone wears one makes you complicit

We need fresh oxygen, clean air, and breathing in and out through a mask isn't possible, you are going to poison the body ffs, your heart rate will go up and your lungs will be going berserk for fresh oxygen

You're a clown sofia, a pathetic idiot

Some dumb people around making excuses for not wearing masks. Like Doctor Shrillary Jones on ITV this morning effectively saying what is the
point of wearing a mask most of us haven’t got covid!  Then why are we on lockdown dummy! The Susannah bird tried to ask him about people who were a symptomatic  but he did not answer.

Trust these experts with your life? I don’t think so!

There should be studies that prove this scientifically, if there were then this would surely be the advice regarding mask wearing.

Nearly everyone on here is NOT an expert on any of this we are all trying to plot our way through with the advice we are given from sources we'd like to be able to trust.

I've listened to a range of views from experts and their advice is pretty different.Non experts calling others dumb as if their view is definitely correct has been a big theme of this forum.

They can't even get the kit for the health providers let alone thinking to make mask wearing compulsory for everyone else.

There could well be a growing problem with seasonal allergies into the mix here, I would tend to put more weight behind this becoming a problem and I've heard very little spoken about it.

My way of thinking being a long term hayfever sufferer is that asymptomatic Covid carriers with seasonal allergy could be a bigger cause for concern with transmission than would normally be the case when those with similar symptoms out of the allergy season who shouldn't be out in public.

Sneezing fits with face masks is a delightful prospect for allergy sufferers walking round the supermarket with a face full of snot under their masks.

Laugh

Very true!

Let me ask you a question why do we slap kids around the head when they sneeze and don’t put their hand in front of their mouths and nose?

Why do we call our colleagues at work “ dirty bstards“ when they sneeze or cough and don’t cover their mouths and nose?
By:
stridingedge
When: 22 Apr 20 09:37
Yes of course there's never a time when you want others coughing and sneezing at you but most would normally turn away or as you say put their hand over their faces or cough sneeze into a tissue/hanky. How many of these would then sanitise properly is another matter in normal times probably not enough but most wouldn't get too hung up about it in more normal times.

The thing is People were told to self isolate when this all kicked off if they were showing symptoms, no one should really be out with a cough at the moment mask or otherwise! A mask shouldn't be seen as being ok to wear so that enables one to go out in public if they are coughing/sneezing.

Asymptomatic people would from many experts should not be posing much of a threat with the social distancing /sanitising/not touching faces recommended measures since lockdown.

Of course when lockdown is eased with any social distancing measures relaxed somewhat face masks could well become more relevant to offer more protection. Hayfever for me looks to be a potential issue with transmission especially with sneezing. You will many more people that wouldn't usually have these allergy symptoms developing them and they may think it's just hayfever but they could be asymptomatic carriers of covid.

You also see that health providers have the eyes shielded in their PPE and of course these face masks being worn by the public do not. The eyes would be as good an entry point as any for this virus.

Agree with most of what you say but we are being lied to.

The eyes, 100% with you so should I stop wearing a mask or maybe wear sun glasses on the tube or in the supermarket?

I am going to quote you not to have a go at you but it is what I have heard from the Experts

Sorry those last two points  are not reasons not to wear masks. We know so much more now. We know this can kill us or our loved ones. If people stop washing their hands I am with Charles Darwin. I will continue wearing masks gloves and glasses when I consider they are required not when the experts say so or the Government

That's perfectly fair enough Whispering, no problem with that at all.As said earlier we all have to plough our own furrow here getting through this. Some measures have been MUSTS to implement and others like this have many more variables to them and are not so black and white.

I'm not referring to yourself but there have been a lot of as I say non experts calling others (non experts too) idiots basically for interpreting conflicting science findings differently. Hands up for me and I'm sure most in saying I have come into this situation with very little knowledge so it's about trying to learn on the fly.

Anyway I'm off for the 2 hour daily fix of Game Of Thrones

Tru dat Edge!

Mea culpa!

I try not to be rude.....but it’s impossible

Must try harder!

My only concern is that there are so many people out there who trust in what they are being told but they are being lied to, not just by politicians but by Government and it’s Experts and that is not just wrong it is criminal

face masks restrict your breathing so I won't ever be wearing 1 even if it becomes mandatory

university of NSW did a study around 5/6 years ago linking regular face mask use to changing ph of the blood (more acidic)
acidosis...which can be life threatening
