Hanx, where did you obtain your insights in to the views of the public ?Is there a link to a recent survey that you can share with us ?By talking to people.By monitoring my social media feedBy noting that coup and insurrection is not in fact happening on the streets of the country. For sure there are folks up in arms about the government's response to this and I'm glad about that. It'd be a sinister world if there wasn't. However there was also a vocal minority, for example, predicting a landslide for The Labour Party at the last election and for Remain in the Brexit referendum. As for the empirical evidence you require, I confess I haven't got any, thus my use of the phrase 'I think'Â - i.e presented as an opinion. It's a generally accepted custom in a chat room and I apologise for not having anything more tangible / literal in my armoury.
Hanx, thanks for taking the time to respond in a calm and rational manner.
It is very much appreciated.
I participate in regular YouGov polls.
Amongst the questions included in a poll I participated in yesterday was to provide an opinion on how the UK government is handling the crisis.
They also provided a list of European countries from which you were asked to select the one you believe has best responded to the crisis.
I expect that the results will be made available in due course.

I am seriously concerned these Ministers are being sent in to take one for the team. They are not able to provide answers the most obvious questions like how many NHS staff or Care Staff have died.
as someone correctly described them, they are merely nightwatchmen.
