I have not listened to much of what he has said but have friends continually sending me links. When I have heard him speak he usually is measured and has things to say worth consideration.
What puts me off is when he turns evangelical and zealous in his preaching. This 5G is important. One minute we don’t want phone masts built near us and now 5G is perfectly safe? I am not sure I believe that, I certainly don’t trust it to be true. |

Grant if you'd read the thread title you'd find the answer.
Besides that he's a fantasist that resonates with the mentally weak and is allowed to peddle his twaddle to his audience of numpties. Now you lot can feck off whilst I shape shift back into my alien form and journey into the centre of Earth. (AKA my kitchen) That may sound like BS, but actually my kitchen morphs through a second dimensional time continuum, into the alien sub culture way below the centre of Earth. |

A bit like you see in Dr WHO. Now what you numpties haven't realised is that the W.H.O. is really a synonym for and run by the Timelord Dr WHO, (it's bleeding obvious if you think about it) but his arch nemesis The Master has infiltrated the organisation and unleashed the COVID-19 virus upon us. Prolly no need to worry as the good doctor always prevails in the end.

He's always interesting to listen to and is a great orator who hardly lets people get a word in edgeways. In his interview on London live the person who introduced him hardly said a word afterwards letting him ramble on almost uninterrupted for an hour. I think Icke is probably a very clever bloke who dissatisfied in his job at the BBC sought another career after becoming disillusioned with what he could and couldn't say on the national broadcasting network, in reality he was only a bit part interviewer on the Channel and he wanted more fame for himself.
What you notice about the London live interview is that he does mention on a couple of occasions that he has felt the way he does for 30 years and has written nearly 20 books of his thoughts and the way he sees the world heading. To me he's just an old fashioned con man who has made a great deal of money from his now career as a Writer/Speaker who comes up with more and more ludicrous theories about any naturally occurring event and finds more and more gullible people who'll listen to his claptrap. I do wonder if he was influenced by Lyall Watson and his books about pseudoscience, he also made a great deal of money from his books which his disciples readily gobbled up, he was a respected Biologist, geologist and Anthropologist and apparently had degrees in every ology going! He was famous for writing Supernature in 1973, a must read for any student at the time and Icke would have been about 23 then with his football career over. Lyall was famous for his Hundredth Monkey theory, and amongst some of his weirder theories were : He suggested that oysters might possess a “tidal memory,” that a knife left under a paper pyramid could sharpen itself and that plants responded sympathetically when a live shrimp was thrown into boiling water. The book spent 50 weeks on the best-seller list in Britain and sold 750,000 copies in paperback. A year later, Mr. Watson published “The Romeo Error,” an inquiry into death, the afterlife and the supernatural, and in 1986 he published a sequel to “Supernature” called “Beyond Supernature: A New Natural History of the Supernatural.” His more than 20 books, reflecting a wide-ranging curiosity and in some cases a high tolerance for ridicule, included “The Nature of Things: The Strange Behavior of Inanimate Objects” and “The Dreams of Dragons,” as well as studies of whales, wind, water, elephants and sumo. His most recent book, published in 2004, was “The Whole Hog: Exploring the Extraordinary Potential of Pigs.” His belief in a collective unconscious shaping the natural world led him ever forward on what seemed to him a simple mission. “All I do,” he once wrote, “is look, listen and try to make sense of what I find, in biological terms.” Perhaps the only species he dismissed were the army of skeptics who found ready fodder in his preoccupations and all-too-willing suspension of disbelief. “Self-appointed committees for the suppression of curiosity,” he called them. For 12 years he lived on a converted shrimp trawler in the Amazon. Often he traveled with Fred, a tapeworm he introduced into his body in the belief that it warded off stomach ailments. He ended up presenting Sumo wrestling on Ch 5, and is credited with bringing Uri Gellers Spoon bending tricks to the world. |

JWH - "If he is so outlandishly wrong why not get him on national TV and discredit him in front of the millions that would watch"
They wouldn't dare allow that to happen on a one to one basis...it'd have to be like a single lion surround by six hyenas - a la Nick Griffin as the game plan would be to should him down and interrupt his train of thought...just in case he makes too much sense - that's verboten! CB - "he's a fantasist that resonates with the mentally weak" Can't you smell the ironic intolerance in that comment? That is so woke...if you disagree with me then obviously you're mentally weak. Some might think that the mentally weak are the ones who swallow official propaganda without using rationale. He questions...nothing wrong with that. It also doesn't mean I chomp on everything he says...I use my limited rationale and keep in mind what's plausible. |

Has Icke ever said anything that is rational?
By:
Somehow I strongly suspect you've not listened to him speaking with Brian Rose on London Real - it might open your eyes a bit.
I'm not saying you'll have to swallow everything he says...but just understand WHY he's questioning - it's very rational. |

He takes things have elements of truth...
5G potentially dangerous. Virus test is actually testing for a genetic sequence. Virus death figures are not people who have actually died from Covid19 but people who test positive for the virus. etc And then draws his own uncontested conclusions. He should be allowed to give his opinion. If governments and others want to take his videos and splice them and say why his points are wrong they should be free to do that also. |
By:
IT - that's a very fair & reasoned post mate...I wish other dissenters would overlook their disdain for him
and realise that too - that's not much to ask as I see things. |
By:
I suppose I'll have to re-ask my question. Has he ever said anything rational?

Imagine being sent to Coventry, then being told you have to go in goal! That's bound to mess with your head.

Just that this is in particular is like me saying "Water is a lethal substance." There's some truth to it, in large amounts it is lethal, but it's also total bollocks like that purposefully misleading grifter statement from Icke. |

Charlie - didn't you read IT's post?

Gibberish I did read it.
Did you read the: And then draws his own uncontested conclusions. bit/ |
By:
Don't focus on his conclusions...concentrate on the relevant issues he's questioning!
By:
He's not raising anything new. He's coming to unfounded conclusions. He's a lying fool who makes a fortune from suckers like you. I'll re-ask my question yet again: has he ever said anything rational?

Having a different opinion to the 'official facts' is like banging my head against a brick wall on here.
No debate, not even to question is allowed...otherwise we're cranks too - there's no mileage in it. I'm out. |
By:
Thank fck for that. You wont be missed.
By:
Take no notice Gibberish.

By:
You could always join him.
By:
I'll do as I wish.
I don't need you to remind me. |
By:
I'm sure you do.
By:
You can be the spokesperson for Icke then. Has he ever said anything rational?
By:
The Obnoxious Charlie has arrived to dish out his evening round of insults.
By:
As I said before I only insult tw@ts. Welcome IT.

By:
Charlie is nothing.
By:
An interesting statement. So you're saying my name but saying I'm nothing. How do you work that out?
By:
I don't mind Icke, it's mainstream media I totally despise.
By:
Not sure how many times I've asked this but one more wont matter: Has he ever said anything rational?
By:
Icke makes a few quid, so what. Total clowns continue to support amazon and apple. Where are all the threads about those eejits?
Oh and another thing, he doesn't force anyone to buy anything. |
By:
Those are different arguments. Has Icke ever said anything rational?
By:
Yes he divorced his 2nd wife because he thought she was turning into a reptile, can't argue with that!

Some might think that the mentally weak are the ones who swallow official propaganda without using rationale. He questions...nothing wrong with that. It also doesn't mean I chomp on everything he says...I use my limited rationale and keep in mind what's plausible. Therein in lies the limited logic of his followers. Follow a lunatic, who talks complete cobblers, because he questions for questions sake, just because the official line might be incorrect. The one's who are swallowing are the fools who follow the ramblings of a bonafide nutcase, because they are desperate to be seeen not to follow official propaganda. The I'm so clever I'm not buying it brigade, who'd rather believe in fairy stories. |

The need to believe in conspiracy theories is a mental illness just like schizophrenia. The irony is that the small number of genuine conspiracy theories are often lost in a vast sea of absurdity.

Has Icke said anything rational?
Well he said Teddy of the WHO is a Commie Terrorist who appointed Bobby Mugabe as Goodwill Ambassador. Oh and that Teddy is China’s poodle. Care to disagree Charlie? |

If you translate that into English I may answer.
