Experts say virus may have reactivated rather than patients being re-infected

People have said this hits them in waves so it could take longer than we think to shake this completely out of our system

Has anyone considered the possibility that they are testing for the wrong indicator ? Crazy
Report jucel69 April 14, 2020 9:07 AM BST
I don't think they have a fùcking clue what they are doing
Everybody just keeps playing for time hoping that somebody will get a grip of the situation
Report Reynard April 14, 2020 9:14 AM BST
It might help if they had some sort of clue as to exactly what they're looking for . It seems to me that they are possibly focusing their efforts on the wrong type of 'virus' Whoops
Report Reynard April 14, 2020 9:22 AM BST
Incidentally , my father was taken into hospital last night . His symptoms include 'shortage of breath' and 'irregular heartbeat' (2 previous heart attacks) . Classic COVID-19 symptoms . However , both he and my mother have been isolating for the last 4 weeks in their secluded house and have had absolutely zero contact with any other person . If he is tested for COVID-19 , as I understand is routine , and it comes back positive then it will confirm my belief that they are claiming more positive 'coronavirus' tests than is the actual case .
Report clacton April 14, 2020 9:40 AM BST
Reynard I have had a heart attack and have irregular heartbeat. I have self isolated for about the same time and thought I would be safe.I hope your father's test comes back negative.

Also, the 'winners' (by which I mean Countries) in this will be those whose story is the most plausible.

South Korea has been doing very nicely so far, held up as the way to go with their harsh, immediate lockdown (when was it? December probably in folklore at least).

This news might have put a bit of a crimp in the figures they've been trotting out

I mean, not to Chinese levels of lying but still.....
Report Reynard April 14, 2020 9:44 AM BST
Your thoughts are appreciated . Thank you and stay safe yourself , clacton .

They are looking for the RNA sequence that the Chinese originally put out that they said caused the symptoms for the illness they call Covid-19.

Please report back his test result. My son-in-law tested positive when went to hospital for something unrelated and had no Covid-19 symptoms.
Report InsiderTrader April 14, 2020 9:46 AM BST
No lockdown in South Korea as far as I know Hanx.

Insider Trader - Possibly because they are testing for exosomes , which are present in virtually everybody , healthy or otherwise .

Someone's been watching videos of the doctor that heavily, disingenuously misrepresents the work of others.
Report dave1357 April 14, 2020 10:26 AM BST
because of Bayes theorem, when you have a low % of the population infected, testing of people without symptoms will produce far more false positives than true positives unless the test is infallible.

Well, they are not "only" blindly looking for the sequence that the Chinese gave them. It's been independently isolated and sequenced by a number of labs around the world by now.

Of course, unlike what the 5G grifters that falsify the studies of real scientists to bullshit you would have you believe, they are also looking for that viral RNA (that's vastly identical to that of other previously known coronaviruses) and not for some exosomes under a microscope or something.

There are a lot a load of dodgy testing kits around.

I thought they were testing for a specific RNA sequence?
Report edy April 14, 2020 5:42 PM BST
They are.

He got that nonsense from some video by some random GP who thinks (or says for attention) that covid-19 doesn't even exist. Instead there is some other mysterious thing (5G) that poisons our bodies. As a reaction, the body creates exosomes, which are then being detected. Video was e.g spread by Icke.

Even if you have zero scientific knowledge whatsoever, one might want to ask themselves why e.g about 80% of the tests in the USA come back as negative if they are "testing for exosomes , which are present in virtually everybody , healthy or otherwise ."

For good measure, the grifting doctor included a quote from a scientific article regarding HIV from 2003, and made it look like that scientist had written that SARS.MkII was fully an exosome. I.e he purposefully misled his viewers by heavily misportraying a renowned scientist not only about which virus the quoted sentence was written about, but also what the author tried to say with it (he didn't try to claim that HIV doesn't exist...).
Report edy April 14, 2020 5:43 PM BST
Misquoted renowned scientist, James Hildreth, is on record warning about covid-19 btw.

I had really bad aching (everywhere) nausea, and extreme fatigue for over a week, two nights ago woke up in a pool of sweat had to get up change my PJs, sheets, pillow slips, etc. But felt much, much better since.

Don't think that it was in any related to cov 19.
Report InsiderTrader April 14, 2020 6:17 PM BST
True case. Hope you feel better soon.

Fox, did you have a letter saying to isolate for 12 weeks? What you going to do after the 12 weeks if the virus is still about?
Report edy April 14, 2020 6:22 PM BST
The common theory regarding that isn't, as jucel pointed out too, that people get re-infected (in short order), but much rather that it might re-activate or goes back to the throat after it had previously been elsewhere in the body where it couldn't be detected with the common tests.

...Which might force people to re-think on releasing people after negative tests for another few days, weeks, or whatever. More research will certainly be needed on people who are meant to be fully recovered and non-infectuous.

Hope you get better, casemoney.

Thank you - boxingfox, and 1st time poster.

I asked because ...

Leaving aside the 'unreported' Care Home deaths of the elderly - the vast majority who would more than likely 'have other, or even complicated, under-lying health conditions'

The most significant  sign to me, is it has been reported, especially in the highest Deaths USA, that ...

73% of Deaths from coronavirus have been either ...

OVERWEIGHT - Body-Mass Index in excess of 25
OBESE - Body-Mass in excess of 30
CLINICALLY OBESE - Body-Mass Index in excess of around 40

What also goes cap in hand with such OVERWEIGHT is the next 2 dangerous conditions ...

DIABETES

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

They both being 'a given' in most OVERWEIGHT cases

As is excessive Alcohol consumption - Eating all kinds of crap junk food - including McDonalds, KFC, and even Supermarket (Microwave) Ready-Meals... aswell as slumping on the Sofa with a giant bag of Crisps

73% is - somewhat coincidentally - the figure for -

BLACK - ASIAN - and ETHNIC MINORITY cases of death

There is surely  an undoubted GENETIC angle here, to this

No coincidence that many BLACK people are 'on the large side', aswell -  especially the females, who are   in a less risk group otherwise.

What has struck me is the those TWO 73% figures - seems to tie-in with the Photos of the deceased that have been shown on the Television News - and that 73% undeniably confirmed by the Photo montage of Coloured and Asian NHS staff who have sadly succumbed.

It is undeniable that - We have not been seeing anything anywhere near a higher number - let alone a majority - of slim white people in those sad Photos.

It is to SHUT UP up the 'Politically Correct Police' Cry   -  who have REALLY been 'short of something to bother about' ................
