Brimstone is another very decent movie. Dakota Fanning is as magnificent as Guy Pearce is menacing. Not for the faint hearted though

I also like Dances with Wolves.
Slammed by many but for me it just has a lovely feel to it of how the native Americans lived albeit probably romanticised.

And also a bit of a similar feel Last of the Mohicans.

ah the utterly wonderful Frank Silvera saying "oooooombre" One of the best segments ever. Frank of course went on to reprise his Mexican role in The High Chapparal, even though of course he was a black actor from Jamaica

Yep Duffy the quick and the dead was excellent.

Western s were probably the greatest genre of films.

The amount of different ones mentioned above that we all could identify with and say oh yes forgot that one is proof enough of that
