Trying to remember the tv programme about the guy who gambled a lot,could've owned a bookies,set in London maybe.He had fair permed hair,his on/off girlfriend had dark hair. Could've had deal in the title. Used to enjoy watching as a youngster.

Some good shows mentioned. I never tire of watching Callan.

The Virginian a great tv western series.

The Sandbaggers very good too and The Fugitive (David Jansen) is still extremely good if you have a couple of months to spare.

Alec Guinness as George Smiley in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Smiley`s People.

The Odd Couple still very funny imo and superb acting by Klugman and Randall.

Managed to watch the first series of Rising Damp last night. Maybe have a search for Reggie Perrin,think that's how you spell it.

A few more good programmes mentioned.

I used to watch Alias Smith and Jones with my dad on a Sunday,then the Golden Shot after.
Left a bit,right a bit.up a bit,fire. Bernie The Bolt was some shot.

Gonna add Kung Fu with David Carradine. All the kids in the street were play fighting and saying ah grasshopper after they whacked each other.

Chuck Connors was mentioned earlier, I remember him in Branded and the Rifleman.

Start of Branded where they rip off his buttons and epaulettes, break his sword in half and he walks through the fort gates to the tune 'Branded scorned with a cowards name, what do you do when you're branded and you know you're a man'.

similar to opening of 'picture box ' if anyone can remember that, i'm sure presenter appeared in brookside at some point.

tales of unexpected is on sky arts at the moment, usually most days.
