Tomorrow he'll be on ventilator and in critical condition, Wednesday his condition has worsened and that's when the queen will be summoned, Thursday will be a breaking news and very sombre
The country will go into absolute meltdown and the queen will be giving a speech on Friday, no make up, looking like she's been on the rum the night before |

I'm just thinking this is what is going to happen, its playing out like that at the moment
Saying that he comes on in a few weeks with the numbers having peaked and started declining, the country will get "a boost" A 2nd rebirth, Boris becomes jesus Christ mark 2, he'll be a symbol of "hope" Boris Johnson, the man who fought a war in his own body and came out the other side clean, a man for the ages Boris Johnsons face put on all new bank notes... |
|
By:
He'll be the man your great grand kids will be telling stories about, the man with the lush but scruffy hair, a man who fought the virus and survived it, and then led us all to the promised land of victory
We gathered around his hospitals chanting his name as he came out arms aloft, the great Boris ![]() ![]() |

Beginning in early February 2020, doctors in China have increasingly been using ECMO as an adjunct support for patients presenting with acute viral pneumonia associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection (COVID-19); when, even after ventilation, the blood oxygenation levels remain too low to sustain the patient.[6] The initial reports indicate that it is assisting in restoring patients' blood oxygen saturation and reducing fatalities among the approximately 3% of severe cases where it has been utilized. |

it goes without saying i hope he pulls through as i would any human being.
it needs to be asked though why the man leading the country in this crisis so flippantly disregarded his own rules he set for the country? arrogance or stupidity? |

If they are letting the public know that he is in ICU then he is probably already dead by now. Just feeding slow info to the public so they aren't shocked(though I doubt the news shocks anyone these days). Just my theory

As a matter of interest is his wife still next of kin?
Could you have a situation where his wife and children stop his girlfriend going to his funeral, hypothetically I mean? At what point in a divorce do you stop being next of kin? |

Anyone hear the doctor on the Stephen Nolan show last night? Said if Boris goes on the ventilator, he will have a 53% chance of survival. As an analogy, the doctor said it's like trying to inflate a damaged tyre. At this stage it increases chances of heart attack and other organ failure. It's extremely scary how fast a person can deteriorate once it hits the lungs.
Anyone with underlying health issues cannot afford to get infected. Stay safe everyone. Best wishes for Boris. |

It’s worse than that fink. I think it affects ordinary healthy people in the same way. It can also do permanent damage to the lungs. Stay save is right, protect your family is the way I see it.

Ten years ago my Dad who was 70 at the time had a fall from a ladder during the winter months when he slipped from about 12 feet to the ground onto a concrete pavement landing somewhat fortunately on his side. He suffered massive internal bleeding from injuries sustained and went on a life support machine shortly after being admitted to hospital. He was on the ventilator. 7 days later he walked out of the ICU and went striaght home as he didnt want to go onto the ward. He is still with us today despite all of us writing him off. He says he is a dead man walking and everyday is a blessing. Remarkable man and the hospital still tell the story
. Never lose hope. |

@ Deplasterer. Indeed. Very true.
He certainly has a different view on many matters than i do but as we often say to each other. many men can look at the same picture, some will see a smoking gun, some will see the finger on the trigger yet others will see the roses in the garden in the background. It is just the way life is ![]() |

Hi jucel, that was the chap, Dr Al, he did break it down well. But that's good news for Boris if the hospital has got the top equipment. Sounds like we need more of them.
And your're absolutely right Whisper, I should have said no-one wants to get it, not just people with underlying issues. The healthy and vulnerable need to be protected alike. I have a light asthma condition and lungs that are not great for my age (and always suffer with my chest for weeks to months on end with just about any infection) so I certainly fear catching it. What worries me is, once it's declared 'gone', it won't be gone for good, will it? We know how stains of cold/flu viruses can come back round the following years. People who have isolated this year may still be vulnerable in later years. Let's hope they do find a vaccine. And that the WHO and world governments have a serious talk with China about their wet markets, plus Africa re bush meat practices. |

However this play out fink it is not good until we know if we have had it or not. We will also always worry about our elderly now more so. What I do find funny however is the number of blokes I know who thought they had hangovers but are now trying to piece it all together! I am not saying they did have it either but think quite a few did

From my last link :
The lab-escape theory had been circulating on social media and various blogs for weeks, but gained considerable visibility in a New York Post article in late February. In it, Steven Mosher, a social scientist and the president of the Population Research Institute in Front Royal, Virginia, summarizes why he believes SARS-CoV-2 may have been accidentally spread by China’s National Biosafety Laboratory at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where researchers have studied bat coronaviruses. In the article, Mosher describes several lines of reasoning, namely, that the lab is less than 10 miles away from the seafood market where a cluster of COVID-19 cases was first discovered, and that after the 2003 SARS outbreak, the SARS-CoV virus escaped from virology labs multiple times in China. He also describes how Chinese virologist and bioweapons expert Major General Chen Wei went to the Wuhan Institute of Virology with military scientists in January to study the new virus, which Mosher sees as a form of damage control. |

Well said Whisper, we certainly will worry about each more from now, the elderly especially as you say. Funny about the hangovers. Have to say, I'd rather have a hangover than a virus any day, lol. I don't even like a cold. I've heard it said that it may have been here in December, and I did have very bad dose of something back then, took months for my chest to recover. But based on what we've seen, I don't think what I had was Covid; I would have been in far worse a state than I was, given the normal inefficiency of my lungs.
Can't comment on the lab escape theory Leopard, or any other man-made theories, but I bet one thing for sure: Mr Shrimpton is probably blaming it on the 'DVD' as usual. lol. |
