He was on sky news earlier talking about a potential ban on exercise if a small minority continue to fail to adhere to social isolation policy. Unless you're in prison, it's the fundamental right of any human being to get fresh air and expecting healthy people to be holed up like convicts in order to protect a small percentage of vulnerable people who should be indoors anyway is absurd. It's one thing asking people to limit going outside once a day but banning it completely will damage the health of the majority of people over a sustained period and how anyone living in a high rise flat with kids for eg is supposed to cope I've no idea without serious damage to their mental/physical well being.

They’re showing their true colours.

Use public transport sparingly - ok
Don’t work within 2 metres of each other - ok

Don’t exercise in the fresh air. - up yours.

Some people are flouting the rules of social distancing and mingling with friends; sunbathing on the beach in grouos is dangerous  ... arrest them ...
Its a fundamental right to be protected from idiots who may be carrying a potentially fatal disease ...

If you had a lung condition that was exacerbated by petrol fumes causing potentially fatal issues Geordie would you demand people on your road sell their cars? I dont agree with groups socialising in these times but there is also an onus on people with health issues to protect themselves as well not expecting everyones life to come to an end accommodating them

This guy has got to go. He seems to think the UK public are his children. Boris needs to have a serious look here at if this **** is going to do more harm than good.

Nothing wrong with going out on a stroll or a jog on your own away from people, you will end up going mad if you dont go out at all.

As WD says on another thread, why is there no encouragement for people to build up their immunity?

Eating well, plenty of exercise etc all helps to fight off bugs.

You could run up and down the stairs to exercise, however that's probably more dangerous.Plain

mp,s,media very quick to call this a war,got this vison in a real war of in between soldiers fighting, their been cycle ways and jogging lanes for people to carry on exercising,
real leadership by a health sec would be to say you can go without exercise for a few weeks, months like their doing in itzaly, spain etc
to claim as he,s just said on tv that sunbathers can /are costing lives but joggers and cyclists arnt is plainly ridiculous

this could be an all out war developing between the exercisers and the sunbathers  ...

the sunbathers will make gains as the spring goes on and possibly outnumber the exercisers in time ...  worrying scenes ...exercisers will  blame the sunbathers for sure

although the sunbathers not happy being lumped together with the covidiots who seem to be smaller in number

the sunbathers seem to be social distancing  and actually less of a risk than the exercisers

The flexing of establishment muscles is obscene. Plod loving their new powers to be killjoys.

This virus certainly ticks all the boxes.....

Can be asymptomatic but still contagious
Can be asymptomatic for 14 days THEN develop symptoms
Affects people differently
Is so contagious going for 2 walks a day endangers life
Is so mild most people don’t know they have had it

Is so lethal it spreads  by people walking in the Lake District or on beaches in any weather.
Lives on surfaces for 3 days
Is so mild we’ll keep the tube open despite social distancing being impossible
Wearing a mask in public makes no difference
Wearing a mask in a hospital is essential

I mean we've had about 3 weeks of CONSTANT explanations as to why a mask is relevant in some situations, why for example a surgeon might wear one (and it was never so he wouldn't catch a disease himself), so anyone with any sense should have picked it up, but I'm interested on your take.

Is it for conspiracy reasons?

I'd like some definitive answer from a qualified medicalprofessional on whether wearing a mask in public is vital.
If there is one provide a link and we all do it. It's not a hardship.

Not wearing a mask in public if made legal would be so easy to police
The fineable would be easier to spot/punish and if no coppers are around then mask wearers could set about the clean mouthed with impunity.
