My biggest concern now is that once this is all over business rates will increase,forcing those of us who have struggled through with basically no income for 18 months will be hit hard

yep family of them up my road ... the'yre pleasant enough to people in the street but they've brought their ways with them ....general car repairs out the front of house all hours when they moved in though they've toned that down of late
....radiators, fridges,car parts, spilt oil, car batteries all in the front yard ..a right eyesore ... (rented) house looks like it's been trashed ...neighbours can't sell either side I don't they've quite cottoned onto this social distancing lark either  |

The gypsy originally comes from Romania,hence Romany gypsy. I am not including the Polish,but the majority of eastern Europeans that come here are the dregs,the outcasts,same with the Middle eastern asylum seekers and somalians...Mo Farah is by no means the saint he is painted as

Oh that's totally wrong and unfair. Often it's the exact opposite. The best and the brightest of Eastern Europe have been trained up at their expense and came here and to Germany etc as the money was hugely better, they have suffered a huge younger person brain drain problem right across the area. Even Germany itself suffers the exact same problem as people with ambition tend to leave the old East to the West. Demographic nightmare. |

The problem moonaxed I think is that the .. demographic described is the one in your face as causing "issues", Poland has AFAIK virtually none, but they are a minority in other countries as well. In your face = stands out, the quiet person just doing their job isn't noticed. Would you know the difference between a czech or slovak or hungarian professional by accent?

Jc...i have worked in the past at Ocado,when i worked there 85 %were east European, im going back to 2006,mainly poles,some Hungarian, czech,Lithuanian, Slovakian, Slovenian and Latvian. I have dated Albanian, and my builder is Romanian,and very good,what level of eastern European have you personally dealt with,As for accent i have met PLENTY OF polish who can't even speak English and others whose English is faultless. As they are essentially economic migrants tje polish are money hungry and eager to get on anf the majority that came to the UK in the early times,2005 onwards came from small towns and villages where there was no work.

Wounded,i am mentioning Mo not being a st.in relation to the unpaid hotel bills and false accusations of a stolen watch he made when training and staying in Ethiopia. He did tip a single penny during a 3 month stay and the cleaner arrested for the non existent watch theft spent 2 months in a jail cell and her family lost main income during the period. The kerfuffle that Farrah created enabled him to slip out of the country owing the hotel owner ,former athlete Jaile Gebresellassie out of pocket.

Jc...to continue, the immigration since 2010 has been friend of a friend and freeloaders awRe thst they can claim numerous benefits especially in relation to housing, childcare,low income,all things they wouldn't get at home,and all the time they contribute little,need translaors and bleed us dry

moon I'm sure there are abusers, and I know there are e.g. begging gangs etc, but I met/known a fair amount of Eastern Europeans and they've just been normal decent people. I voted Brexit but it certainly wasn't because I dislike Eastern Europeans (despite the remoaner lies about Brexit voters), I like them, I'd keep most of them here and chuck out the home grown chavs, woke studies students, and anyone who agrees with Owen Jones... On ANYTHING. Which, ironically, would exculde about 99% of our sensible Eastern Europeans
