As it doesn't do anything useful. Certainly not for the resources that would have to be devoted to it.

Are you sure?
The WHO staying "test, test, test" was making a plea to do something that they don't believe in ?

To clarify, the 'have you got it' test in the community is irrelevant right now. There is some value to key NHS staff (eg ICU nurses).

The population of India is over a billion, half of them in genuine poverty. Test test test, yeah right, like the townships in SA.

It's going to be devastating in some parts of the world. In the world wars eighteen year olds were consigned to certain death. Today's millennials struggling to stay in doors for a few weeks, even with the great technology we all now take for granted. The Ocado moaners for example, shameless.

at the risk of repeating myself LaughLaugh,
4 weeks ago eye witnesses ,dr,s on the frontline in Italy, nil, zilch, nada of people are coming off ventialors having recovered, one or 2 since,we don't need,  uk experts,dr.s telling us something a far better resourced health service told us a month ago, Italy told us to act 3 or 4 weeks before we did to act and try and prevent as many people as possible getting to the point where they need a ventilator,at that point your going to lose close to 80% of them,so called silver bullets in ventilators, mass testing of nhs worker,s are more like red herrings sending us down the wrong track

An example of confused and muddled Government thinking

and yet the planes still come from New York, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona and China

So what is the point of a lockdown?

Haven't seen Marr for years and first time I've heard Hancock, I thought he did very well. Marr seems more constructive these days, though asking Hancock whether he thought nurses deserved a rise was a wee bit cringe.
