They were saying on CNN that it's not working.
Cochicine too has been trialed and isn't working, which is a shame because I take that. |

98-year-old man - admitted to Hospital with a 'Urinary Infection' - Not unusual in older people.
Test positive for Coronavirus on admission. Treated with hydroxychloroquine, for the Urinary Infection - which is the STANDARD Treatment. Spent just a week in Hospital - and then allowed out - Recovered ... from BOTH. |
|
By:
Seems in france they have done a trial the results are good.
Clearly we are all skeptical. |

On re-reading the article .
Hydroxychloroquine is being used in combination with - Azithromycin This link shows a graph of study using hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin from Prof Raoult study https://www.mediterranee-infection.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Hydroxychloroquine_final_DOI_IJAA-24-1038x553.jpg |

Treated with hydroxychloroquine, for the Urinary Infection - which is the STANDARD Treatment. I'm pretty sure that's wrong As far as this drug is concerned, there still hasn't been a valid scientific trial ie with a control group and a pre-trial success criteria (which would be keeping people out of intensive care or minimising their stay imo). Ibrahima Sonko 28 Mar 20 22:50 But the demo rats hate it. any proof of this disgusting comment? |

Trumps just said 110 on trial in New York as well, started treatment Friday.
|
|
By:
Hopefully it will turn out well.
Because the way to beat this is with drugs, not hospital beds and ventilators. |
|
By:
Only way Ibrahima.

Looks like desperation, saving lives can;'t see it although it maybe in combination with anti biotic save lots that would live anyway from permanent lung damage if quicker recovery.

Are you in some way qualified in medicine giggilo?
|
|
By:
Know nothing about it bar what i've read, the test samples have been miniscule so they won't be taking many risks the drugs also have a toxicity level as well so presume it's going to be very complicated giving older patients doses on top of lots of other medications..I presume the test cases are on relaively healthy people that were going to recover anyway, havn't read anything where any of them were in critical stages, looks like something that may help people recover quicker than stop a 90 year old on a ventilator from dying.

|
By:
to sum up you 'know nothing' and 'presume'

I know nothing about medicine but have read plenty about it from loads of sources, have you ever tried reading anything instead of just reading something about using 80 ptients in a sample, that's dangerous medicine to say the least..You need samples of 1000s 10s of thousands, the science is almost a certainty it won't be saving people who are dying,it looks like it may help people who are were previously healthy who are recovering.

Have any medics/scientists stated why they think this drug is effective against the virus?
|
|
By:
And yet a country with, I expect medically qualified personnel, is giving this the go-ahead.
Perhaps you should contact the powers that be in France and tell them they are wasting their time and its not worth doing because giggilo has read stuff. This is an optimistic thread in a cess-pool of pessimistic know nothings running rampant on a forum. I've noticed any optimistic thread sinks to the bottom with few replies. Almost as if many are revelling in this crisis. Empty vessels |
|
By:
Dr fauci said exactly the same things i said, that's why i read up on it who said it doesn't work?it just looks very unlikely it's going to work on patients who are dying the test subjects said they were expected to recover quicker with this drug 24 days in down to 5 presuming certain people with differing ailments can take the drug..Nowhere in the tests does it say the patients were going to die..
|
|
By:
What odds will you give me this is the cure or gateway to the cure?

Read about it here.

Have any medics/scientists stated why they think this drug is effective against the virus? 80 test patients were given it 78 recovered quicker down to average of 6 days from 24 days, but no ages, severity of illness other underlying conditions were given on a mniute sample.. |
|
By:
Thanks for that Ibrahima

Dr. Geraldine McCarthy just on RTE news is saying that it can be used to treat seriously ill coronavirus patients, people who are on HydC shouldn't be worried about supply.
I am optimistic myself(no medical quals) that it will possibly save some lives,or hope it does. |

The authors of this study previously conducted a smaller study with just 20 people. Prof. Christian Drosten, virologist at the Charité Berlin, said a few days ago in his podcast that that study suffered from a number of methological problems that make it basically worthless to draw real conclusions. From a very quick amateur look, the problems he mentioned are still present in this follow-up study from the same authors.
He also made sure to mention however that this doesn't mean it's not a potential treatment in certain cases. |

How do i copy the text from that pdf and post it on here?
What odds Giggilo? Give me 100/1? |

People need to read it. |

^^^^^trump is an ignorant idiot and has been saying as many things as possible in the hope that some of them are correct and he can claim he is a "stable genius".
Fire-and-Ice • March 30, 2020 2:35 PM BST I said id report anyone who posts libellous stuff Dave So when terry advocates behaviour that causes 100ks of mainly children to die each year, you are ok, but when someone points it out "omg libel" |
