4000 bed hospital needs staffing, expecting 800  nhs workers results back by  Monday,
by tues will there be less than 800 workers at work or the same 800

in 2 weeks time supposed peak of virus some of the so called greatest minds in health service, government and science with 1000,s of nhs workers of sick.self isolating, are going to say ,WHAT HAPPENED THERE,HOW THE FOOOOK DID THAT HAPPEN, most obvious outcome since the pope came out as a catholic
complete utter madness, coroina virus suicide pact

Patel will then announce that immigration rules have been immediately suspended for medical staff, we'll urgently take them from anywhere.
Report 1st time poster March 28, 2020 11:07 AM GMT
if cruise ships, commons, downing stret, care homes, church gatherings, ski resorts, football grounds are breeding grounds for the virus, dont think we need a crystal ball to predict the outcome of mass testing of nhs workers
Report Darlo Bantam March 28, 2020 11:13 AM GMT
Will work both ways. There are many in self isolation who may not need to be.
Report Angoose March 28, 2020 11:25 AM GMT
But if the test result do show a high proportion of those tested as positive, what will be the reaction of those awaiting testing?
We also have a government who are not prepared to tell us how many workers have made themselves unavailable due to self-isolation and other reasons.
Report 1st time poster March 28, 2020 11:51 AM GMT
AND HOW LONG do you think those in self isolation who return to work will remain negative,day,2 days, week
its april I think we can forget this seasonal flu line ,cough ,high temp etc, I,d hazard a guess the majority of people showing symptons of normal seasonal flu would now be testing positive for corona, the range of possible symptons grow by the day
Report Darlo Bantam March 28, 2020 12:02 PM GMT
That's a good point. Read an interview with a Cambridge University virologist and one-time government advisor, who said we're past influenza A season and towards tail end of influenza B season, so yes, symptoms now are more than likely Covid.
Report 1st time poster March 28, 2020 12:27 PM GMT
people talk about testing not just for nhs workers but for everyone as though its a vaccine, the treatment doesn't change whether your positive or negative, till you reach the point where you need a ventilator to help you breathe, till that point its paracetamol ,go to bed etc,etc
were on lockdown even if you test negative your still governed by lockdown rules, all this talk on media about testing been a game changer is garbage to me,other than been useful to scientists post lockdown,
if you follow the lockdown /social distancing guidelines the outcome should be the same whether your positive or negative, if not whats the point in them
Report Angoose March 28, 2020 12:45 PM GMT
The reference to game changer is more directed at the test which will tell you if you've had it and recovered.
Report 1st time poster March 28, 2020 12:50 PM GMT
unless your a key worker your still in lockdown even if its proved you had it, with no concrete evidence you cant get it again, allit will do is encourage people to break the lockdown guidance, other than curiousity whyn would you want/need to no
Report casemoney March 28, 2020 12:55 PM GMT
Yes , we can get the fook on with our Lifes , I need to get a test Kit next week hopefully they will become available to the Public

we will have people who will be able to help out with no worries of them being carriers ...
Report Darlo Bantam March 28, 2020 1:09 PM GMT
I don't think you can relax the lockdown though to those who've had it. You'll just create resentment and a two-tier society, and potentially those who are fit, young, healthy may risk trying to catch it in order to then be allowed to get on with their lives again.
Report 1st time poster March 28, 2020 1:19 PM GMT
spot on darlo and casemoney,s post proves the point
Report 1st time poster March 28, 2020 1:21 PM GMT
ffs if you follow social distancing guidelines people can help ot now if their needed ,they've got a million volunteer,s already who arnt needed
Report 1st time poster March 28, 2020 1:23 PM GMT
I you believe the science /experts
been positive.negative, had it,about to get it makes no foooooking difference at all if you follow the social distancing guidelines,
Report Make my hay March 28, 2020 1:29 PM GMT
There must be a lot of people who would like to be tested to find out if they've already had CV or not because it's my understanding if you are somebody that's already had it then you won't be forced into having the vaccine when it becomes available.

I wonder what would be the best result for a fit healthy person.. A) to catch the virus naturally, go into isolation and make a full recovery resulting in a better immune system? or B) Have it injected into the fit healthy person's bloodstream with a bunch of other chemicals?

On the other hand, if you are big pharma and stand to gain vasts sums of money through all the millions of vaccines then it would be a good idea to tell everybody to self-isolate until the vaccines are ready.
Report Darlo Bantam March 28, 2020 1:35 PM GMT
Wow. Never thought of that but so true.
Report casemoney March 28, 2020 1:35 PM GMT
After 4 weeks, if peak reached and dropping   , Lockdown the Vulnerable ,life has to return to normal at some stage , what would anyones prediction be of when life would return to normal IE no Virus , It could be years Plain before a Vaccine is available ,By that time half the Vulnerable will be dead anyway .....

We already have a 2 tier society of poor foookers who have to go to work and millions of fit people sitting around doing F.A ..

Darlo not 100 % sure if what I have is the Virus , but if it is and it doesn't kill me which hopefully will be the case

I am fer from young and fit Laugh

We are obviously not testing
Report impossible123 March 28, 2020 5:17 PM GMT
The official figures are just over 120k tested, 17k tested positive. Are those tested already showing symptoms prior or any joe public with no symptom? I hope it's the former otherwise 1 in 6 of everyone could be infected thus a possible carrier which is a major worry.
Report lapsy pa March 28, 2020 5:17 PM GMT
There was just 40,yes 40 tests per day up til 3 days ago being carried out in Northern Ireland(source RTE),if this is representative of the rest of the UK,you are indeed as you say "obviously not testing", Why? is there a limited amount of kits around and only priority using? I know there is talk of lots of kits in the pipeline but til then.
Report casemoney March 28, 2020 5:19 PM GMT
"We are obviously not testing"

We may be using the reverse chinese formula ..
Report impossible123 March 28, 2020 5:36 PM GMT
The market for ventilators and test kits is extremely competitive with the Middle East (apparently) promising to pay a premium over and above any accepted by other countries. Also, there are middle-men involved some were former dealers of arms. The irony is some of these products are from China - the source of the virus - untested and might not be effective which could prove fatal eg giving an all clear when it's not.

Where there's profit, there's human filth waiting to exploit.
Report Darlo Bantam March 28, 2020 5:39 PM GMT
Think it was Spain (or Italy) who ditched a load of testing kits from China as they were no more accurate than the toss of a coin.
Report 1st time poster March 28, 2020 5:46 PM GMT
they said 80% of public could get it, 1 in 6 of general public test positives as NHS workers would have to be tested 1st and because of their work exposure expected to test higher and their the biggest employers in the country, not hard to understand why government would be reluctant to roll out testing, if they no as most suspect the nhs is already woefully under staffed before this virus came along
Report impossible123 March 28, 2020 6:35 PM GMT
Anyone remember the bomb detection kit used for vehicles in places like Iraq, Afghanistan, etc? They were found to be useless, and Defence Ministries of many countries were defrauded of huge sums. Later, the owners and directors were convicted and jailed.
Report Make my hay March 28, 2020 6:44 PM GMT
I want to get a good quality one when they become available, how much do they cost?
