Sainsbury's yesterday had no milk, toilet roll, pasta, canned food, soap, biscuits, fresh fruit and veg. Also very low on freash meat, fish and ready meals.
Much better at M&S today. No dried pasta or canned food. Very low on freash veg, fruit and milk but plenty of bread, ready meals, biscuits, fresh meat. |

It's all the talk about making us stay in.

The fact the old and frail are standing in empty shops without food is heartbreaking. Old folks homes are struggling to get food, as lemming like morons fill their cupboards, it's making me increasingly VERY angry. It's not doing much for my faith in modern humanity any good, that's for sure.
And it's not just the UK from what I can see, it's across the world. Given fresh food is disappearing instantly as well as long term food and it will go off, what's the betting the bins of said morons in a short period are going to be full of mouldy bread, rotten meat, black festering fruit etc, when people who could've eaten it .. couldn't? I've not raged this much since one of the more annoying betfair 3pm crashes!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Seriously though. Angry AND disappointed. |

Hence this virus being the least of your problems We are going to war and we are at the point of no return now, get ready!!! |
|

Maybe the lemmings will realise it's going to go off and eat it all, then we'll have a low IQ correlated obesity crisis? :)

This is a war declared by the world elites on the populace
"virus" if they wanted us all dead they'd let this thing spread and not tell us |
|
By:
The likes of Tom Hanks and Madonna should be absolutely ashamed of themselves, they've obviously picked their side and it ain't us
|
|
By:
How the sodding hell can staying 6 feet stop the spread of something that is airborne?
Just an obvious question, these people are sick in the head and need a bullet not help |

Nothing different to normal in my local supermarket this morning apart from the empty loo roll shelf. Lower than usual footfall, only 2 tills open but no queue, plenty of fresh food of all sorts. I won't repeat where it is in case the cockneys pour down here and loot the place.
|
|
By:
Whereabouts in the country are you, sage?
I get the feeling it's worse here in the South East. |
|
By:
The cockneys will do a runner if they lock London down
They'll probably aim for Manchester as they are quite close to being cockneys themselves ![]() |

In his pantry,he's got the lot..

They'll head to the West country, Cornwall (where I am) where all the rich fookers have holiday homes and bring the virus with them, first thing I'd do is blow up the Tamar Bridge.

duffy - I think I heard something on the radio asking people not to do this.

put red paint on all the 2nd home doors, so people can give them a swerve

Lots of empty London properties for the criminals to exploit. They are releasing them from prison now. They can't believe their luck.

I have posted my location before but in view of the possible result, I am reluctant to say exactly. West of Bristol anyway.

Just back from Tesco Express, Brayton.....
I only wanted milk and ingredients for 'Stir Fry' All soup, and tinned vegetables, bacon products, milk, bread, eggs, most of the beer and lager, Paracetamol & Ibuprofen, all cleared out!!! Selfish b@st@rd Vultures!!! I'm not a vindictive person, but I hope some of the mercenary tw@ts get a double dose of Corona! |
|
By:
What are they going to do with all that? like tinned stuff I can understand it had a long shelf life, but milk, bacon, bread and eggs will spoil in a few days ffs
Utter morons |

By:
auld bloke near me has a little egg business says he cant sell enough at the moment, maybe doris might be getting a peltinbg
|

Add to that, all tissue products and, interestingly, 'Feminine Care' products!
Something I have realised is that, when there is sod all to eat, we won't need toilet rolls! |
|
By:
Those with a chest freezer will freeze milk, and bread, and meat.....

I went shopping at around lunchtime, not wanting to associate with the lower levels of society. I am talking gutter level here.
It would seem that for the foreseeable, with, hopefully a few exceptions, my diet is to consist mainly of cheap foreign butter, hot cross buns, and potatoes. I WAS able to get some milk. And a quiche. |
|
By:
If you are told to self isolate for 2 weeks you need 2 weeks of food and toiletries. If no one's going to restaurants and take aways, the demand for supermarket food increases.
It's easy to blame the public, but the supermarkets are more culpable. They should have limited to a max of 2 items a fortnight ago. |
|
By:
eric, what’s a quiche?

Good point about restaurants and takeaweays plus work canteens. I wonder how many of those who use those every day have any idea how much food to buy as they may never have bought anything from a food shop to take home for years.

try your local butcher or green grocer if you have one

Everyone would be clearing the shelves of nasal spray. |

hotel choco, pret a manage, greggs, pub etc all doing half price deals for nhs workers, can see dodgy nhs passes been sold on ebay shortly
my mate had an ambulance badge which got him a free transfer from the course enclosure to the club at redcar years ago |

I thought it was funny to read about the mercenary selfish ****s in the US a couple weeks ago who went around with a van clearing out every shop they could find in a large area of things like hand sanetizer, just stripping them bare, to then sell them on ebay at hugely inflated prices. Ebay then banned this, so have a large stockpile of stuff they can't sell
![]() ![]() ![]() .The most irritating thing is, they didn't think they were doing anything wrong, and seem to expect sympathy! |
