None I should hope..what would be the point?

Are you serious ? In 2018 there were 780 suicides by young people in the 10-24 yr old age bracket . I suggest that mental health issues are a much greater threat to the young than some new flu bug Sad

ok so we should give up fighting coronavirus...CrazyCrazyCrazyCrazy

The problem of suicide among young people is a serious one....

I suspect it is caused by the pressure of modern society, it also affects men far more than women

We do not have to make a choice here, we can deal with both

COVID-19 apparently . I guess it makes a change from overdose , hanging or loss of blood from a wrist incision . Makes a change from all those stabbings and shootings too Sad

As I understand it is only the 70's and over who are supposed to stay home?

If you are not in that age group you can go out when you want Reynard?

And where do you propose I go ? Quiet pint down my local while watching the football ? Sunday lunch in the bistro ? Have a couple of quid on the nags in Laddies ?
Everyone has been advised to stay at home regardless of age . Not difficult to stay indoors when there's fk all to go out for Plain

Mind you there is not much going on

But not much going on at home either, since they have cancelled most sporting events

I only have to look at the World Wide death figures for Coronavirus, to know we would have to be complete idiots

if we think we can just ignore it?

EVERY One  who has died of co19   actually didn't did they

uble   you are simply following their agenda and narrative and sucking it up along with the rest

c019 is not a nice thing along with some other pretty deadly diseases/viruses

You have to ask how you seperate the chaff from the real reasons etc etc

being an ex statistician I have a tiny idea where they are going with this

how do I put it  - bloke chokes to death  - c019   listed  - convenient cover
covers all evils

normal year it would be one of the 140,000   lung etc related diseases/virus

ah   why should I bother try to explain

Have you considered the possibility that it may only be complete idiots that believe these figures ?
Are you aware of the World Wide' annual human death toll from seasonal influenza ? 650,00 pa average . Get back to me when COVID-10 reaches half a million and maybe we can discuss it further Plain

Also young people are also dying of coronavirus

18-y-o , youngest 'victim' of COVID-19 in the UK to date . He had "underlying health problems" .
The point you were trying to make may just have been blown out of the water Mischief

I asked you for the 'statistics' last night and you couldn't provide them . Now you're quoting the word again . What are the statistics ?

Definition of 'complete' required also . Thanks in advance .

He died because he had underlying health problems and couldn't fight the flu . COVID-19 is a flu strain . Every year they have a different strain and we just call it flu . The exceptions to this are when the government feel the need to put the fear of God into people , like yourself .

You can find them yourself if you want Reynard...I am not doing it for you

Coronavirus affects everybody....

You think We are not only concerned with it in order to protect the old...what age do you consider old?

There are a lot of old people we need...they perform important roles in society. Society will suffer if we lose them.

I think we should deal more with peoples mental health problems, young or old....but unfortunately our government is not prepared

to pay out for it...nothing to do with coronavirus?

We are talking of a virus which has already mutated itself from Bats to Humans, once it has killed off all our old, if it succeeds?

who do you think it will infect next??????

I suspect it will be the young.

You can find them yourself if you want Reynard...I am not doing it for you  ............... Answer 1 Compared to 780 young people who take their own lives !

You think We are not only concerned with it in order to protect the old...what age do you consider old? ....... In the context of COVID-19 ... 79.5 yrs Statistically average age of 'victims'

I suspect it will be the young. ............. What are your suspicions based on ? The young are surviving !

There are a lot of old people we need...they perform important roles in society. Society will suffer if we lose them .......... Without interaction there is no society . Restrictions being put in place right now will destroy society . What sort of 'society' hoards vital products thus denying these products to others that need them ?

Because hospitals aren't (yet) at capacity. There is treatment available, i.e. ventilators, to keep alive those people healthy enough. But if we allow it to just continue unabated then that capacity reduces, more people get ill and need treatment and there's no treatment available, so the demographics of those dying will change to more otherwise younger and healthier people.

Darlo Bantam - You raise a very good point .
Incidentally I currently reside adjacent to North Lodge Park and despite the lovely spring sunshine yesterday there was virtually nobody out enjoying the day compared to similar days last year . Fresh air and sunshine is one of the major factors in keeping people healthy so this pseudo-lockdown is going to have a negative effect on the general health of the nation thus laying them open to more serious ailments such as COVID-19 (not to mention Rickets) .

and I hope it continues Reynard, but I don't know the future, do you?

Covid19 would be far bigger danger if it was affecting our young the same as our old, because they are the future, so I hope it just stays with the old

Committing suicide is not something people catch. Most of these suicides are also MALE, I think see the reason as well
