Another day done. No kids here, I live alone by choice. Everyone pretty cheery considered, but it's only day 4.
job centres closed for 3 months all benefits paid automatically, last post nap landed, any new claims online good luck with that anyone,
There's going to be thousands upon thousands of public sector workers on full pay at home doing nothing for months. Not really sustainable. The BBC lot are going to miss their free copies of the grauniad though.
The government will be recruiting more police to deal with domestics, probably end up sending the army in.
We've had Johnson on tv giving a demonstration of how to wash your hands.
Surely it is now time for him to give a demonstration of how to wipe your @rse.
Problem is, like using a mop, he's probably never done it before

The knock on effects are crazy. So no parking revenue for councils for example. At least I've had by council tax bill for next year.

Perhaps not, but he was able to hand Corbyn's own on a plate.
that's what happens when doris gets bored annexing the EU,IRELAND,eventually Scotland and now London,

And what's it all for? The virus will still run its course.
We're only prolonging the crisis until enough of us get it and get over it.

A developed, free country in 2020 just doesn't have the political stomach to willingly sacrifice tens of thousands of its most vulnerable citizens for the greater good.
Many might perish anyway, but they have to been seen to try. It's clear that the analysis is that if left alone, it will essentially wipe out the health system.
It's not really being seen to try it's to try and optimise the infection rate so that the NHS isn't overloaded but not keep the country like a failing prison camp for a few years. It's going to happen so manage it best you can. It's not difficult to understand, though many can't seem to. Unfortunately (and I'm not aiming this at you cider as you get it) there seems to be a lot of thick people or people with their own personal hate ridden agendas who don't seem to grasp this.
The analogy is a bit like the chap in 127 Hours. Cut your arm off with a pen knife to survive. Most people couldn't do that, and would prefer to wait for help in the hope of divine intervention.
There's no easy answer, I just find the moaners and those with absolutely ridiculous expectations of what the government can do about this, those that are entirely incapable of thinking for themselves, extremely irksome.
It's clear that the analysis is that if left alone, it will essentially wipe out the health system.
No that's not clear at all. How did we get on in 1968 when we were in the same situation?
But of course, that was without the hysterics from the media, hyping everybody up every time we tuned in.

Throughout those press conferences, not one 'journalist' has the common decency to even acknowledge the hard work of the experts and the PM, and the stress they must be working under. Essentially, the weight of the nation, but prefer to get their political digs in.
I think this pretty much nails working from home:
