This advice isn't clear at all.  Are they saying you can't go to pubs/restaurants etc?  Or are they suggesting that you shouldn't.

It needs to be one or the other.  Are they forcing businesses to close?  What will happen if I go to the gym, or the local shops?
It's all well and good to say stay at home and close everything down.  But I can't see the council letting me off my council tax, or British Gas ceasing the gas & leccy bills ffs.

We have to work to run our businesses - we have to eat for crying out loud.  What a fkn shambles this government advice is.

Saying "shouldn't" . But I can't see many taking any notice of that tomorrow when it's St Patrick's Day especially in the NI border towns with the Southern Ireland pubs being shut.

Pecker.. theres no easy answer...he should say 'all people under 70 with no underlying issue need to carry on as normal, get the virus and hopefully come through the other side...all others need to hanker down...best of luck but a lot of you will die.'...but there's no way you can sell that to the general public at the moment...I  just reckon eventually theres gonna be no alternative.

If (when) the economy tanks...where's the money gonna come from to pay for coppers, nhs, social services? To think that the economy and Public health are not intrinsically linked is just naive. People seem to think theres a choice of what they could/should do...dream on

an Italy  style lockdown  would certainly freeze out the virus after a few weeks would it not ?  ...nip it in the bud etc .

agreed tube travel or public transport (might)  be a bad idea . Wearing a mask here the one time this might be helpful

pubs even worse   from the prospect of contraction since you won't be wearing a mask ..what if some idiot sneezes at a packed bar .

If all this is  nonsense then that's fair enough  , but  if it's not you could be indirectly affecting a sick elderly person in your family ..so maybe drink at home for now and  have a good laugh about it later
