That is not to judge people by their appearance.
For the first time in over 30 years I went to Sainsburys to do the weekly shop. Armed with a list from my wife I trecked around the store picking things up and returning them to the trolley parked in an aisle.Could I find the loo paper aisle ,no I couldn't. Then saw two chav women ,late twenties,tracksuit bottoms,Nike t shirts with a couple of packs in their trolley.I approached them from behind and said Excuse me ladies can you tell me where you found the loo paper.They both looked at me with a slightly quizical expression an d one of them then grabbed my arm and said follow me ;ran around the corner ,grabbed the last pack on the shelf and gave it to me.
I'm a somewhat aloof 70 year old and have never in my life had any interaction with the chac class. I actually felt quite humbled by the kindness shown to me and the lesson is to not judge people by their appearance.
