The reporting, use of stats and complete absence of perspective is what gets me. It’s as if no one has ever died before. Many jobs will be lost, recession inevitable, pension pots decimated.
The cancellation of mass gatherings makes no sense to me either. The biggest gathering of people at any one time is the work place. Every morning in the UK 10 of millions of workers ( 100 or so in Liverpool ) are mixing together, packing on to trains, buses and sidewalks all breathing everyone else's air, walking around in air conditioned offices with a potential virus circulating through the building. What difference does it make it 40 odd thousand get together at an event
If the Gov want to stop the spread of this or any flue type virus, issue every one with free masks and hand sanitiser, this would be a hell of a lot cheaper, more effective and less catastrophic to the country/world than what is now happening.
