Perhaps things have spiralled out of control in society.
Not only the prevalence of the far right which is has seen the older community dictating which way the political class move worldwide but also the general hatred on social media in younger folk.
A monster has been created and while most people believe the genie cannot be put back into the bottle someone upstairs might be saying otherwise.
I’m not agreeing with any of this but perhaps this virus will put mankind back on a even keel once it’s all over.
Collectively we’ll all be all less hateful and please to be here rather than spouting modern day spite and bile to each other.
Be good to think the world will stand shoulder to shoulder in beating this and in doing so might cleanse us of previous issues and a stronger bond might ensue.
What do you reckon?

I reckon you are fishing for a start.

But assuming you arent why would God create a virus that will basically give 95% of people are cold/cough and just kill off people
who were on their way anyway.

The real evil here is the media that has created this "monster"by continually writing about it and making people behave as if the world is coming to an end. I mean talk of "beating this" is completely over the top. Its hardly the biggest challenge the human race faces is it.

With it being a global issue we need to carefully narrow it down to the correct god out of all of them.

When natural events have an adverse impact on humanity whether large groups or small, people label it "an act of God". It's nothing to do with primitive superstition it's just the way that nature and life readjusts to unsustainable imbalances.
We use our intelligence for what it's worth to try and mitigate the perceived damage and stabilise the situation to our advantage but it's only a matter of time before something else comes along.

The 'God Squad' are always very vocal - when things are going well ...

- But not a  murmur from them when things like this are going wrong.

Allah is not looking after his mates, either... witness Iran

Not only the prevalence of the far right

The OP says what do you reckon... well I reckon on the balance of probability God doesn't exist and if the OP believes a virus knocking out mainly OAPs will change the human condition, a psychiatrist is probably in order. When have things "ever been in control in society".. go back a couple of centuries which is a tiny amount of time in the planets history and you find people burnt for being witches in the name of a so called "God". As if any God says " Right look at all those nasty souls on social media, time to kill 85 year old sofia in Milan hospital" that'll teach little Tommy tibbs in stoke for his vitriol Crazy  With a God acting like that, I think Id sooner side with the devil tbh

It's the 'Mussis' I'm concerned about!

Mega thousands of them everyday, called to prayer, so must be very vulnerable to the spread of the disease!

I suppose they can count on Allah to protect them!

If you believe in God then surely everything is an act of god?

there is a God 100 % ...  God the creator whoever that may be   ...the universe wasn't created by itself .
Report Coachbuster March 11, 2020 6:55 PM GMT
we're all pretty insignificant on this planet ,i think we all know by now there are millions of planets more advanced than this one .

what we don't know is when the  next biggie virus is going to have a real impact ..this one seems lightweight ...but what about in the next thousand years or so ?

What is He/She/They/Them messing around at? Let's have a proper epidemic and get it over with.

Does anyone consider the possibility that it is good that most people should die , it is good indeed that everyone should die , completely ?
Report betting_masta March 12, 2020 12:48 AM GMT
it's not "god" but it could just be nature trying to balance things out, wipe out a few vulnerable people, easy pickings

The above comment is nonsense- something doesnt have to come from something which is proven by quantum physics replacing newtonian physics ...the idea that there must be a God because " who created the universe " is so simplistic it's laughable. The God delusion by Richard Dawkins explains it very well to the average layperson far better than I could
