jfc, we're barely into March and the old fa rt next door is out mowing his lawn. What is it with old men and their perfectly manicured lawns? Look! I'm an old fa rt also but I just don't get that. He'll be at it every other week now. The sound of that thing drives me mad. You'd think he was hosting some kind of lawn-snooker tournie or something. Next thing you know, the days will be getting longer, and warmer I suppose. People who are old enough to know better will be under-dressing, showing off all their milky-white flabby bits. Dogs barking, happy-smilie faces everywhere. It's no fun being an old grouch but who needs fun? GRRRR! humbug I say. HUMBUG!
Thanks for the replies chaps, glad it's not just me.
SonStrat, tweeting I can live with, even the squabbling Sparrows, noisy little boogers,it's good to know we still have the small birds out there, they've got their problems. But those damned doves......cooing ARGHHHH!

Now I'm old and the wife isn't up to it any more, the gardens get swilled with weedkiller three or four times a year. That keeps them looking tidy.
