I’ve always liked salted caramel chocolate so although not really bothered about ice cream, I saw salted caramel ice cream In ASDA I thought i’d give it a try.
I got through the tub in 5 days and went to bed looking forward to having more the next day.
Honestly it is something else.

Maybe it was a 2 litre tub. Anyway, it does not make sense mixing salt and caramel in ice-cream when salt and sugar are the main components in obesity.

The problem with ice cream is there are two different types. The absolute cr@p and then there's Häagen-Dazs.

Twizzle, how many in your household? Just the one is it?

Haagen Dazs = rip off. Can’t believe how much they charge for it. I just wouldn’t buy it.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream Grin

Two of us RC..agree about Haagen..ridiculously overpriced and way too sweet for my palate. As i  have already mentioned on another thread on this subject Mackie's organic is a beautifully textured ice cream.

I used to love Gino Ginelli, toffee fudge and mint choc chip, used to consume 4 tubs a week in my youth, think they were 1.5 litre tubsSilly

Kelly's Cornish for me.

Never understood why they don't sell orange ice cream (or lemon, though you can get lemon sorbet) or mint ice cream without chocolate.

Cheers, Twiz. I’ll keep an eye open for Mackies. Is it in any supermarket.
I know ASDA do Kelly's which I will try in due course.

I agree Haagen-Dazs can be a little too sweet esp their vanilla, but I do like Green and Black (chocolate) and Waitrose's and Groum's pistachio - on offer only otherwise too pricey for me.

Availability/offer is on price comparison site mysupermarket.co.uk

Mackie's ice-cream available in ASDA stores near me, but may have something to do with Mackie's being made just 32 miles away.
Also available in LIDL and in Carrefour within the Mall Of The Emirates mall in Dubai Happy
