...... about the creation of the planets in our Solar System.

I wonder what else we'll find out that they have been wrong about, in years to come......?

Could you put a link up Mecca????

Scientists may be wrong about everything...

But do not blame them, they the cleverest people we have...

Science can only progress one step at a time...also look the distances involved, the time scales.
Report UBLE/REGY • February 14, 2020 12:10 AM GMT
I have found it on teletext

The established view is that material violently crashed together to form even larger clumps until they become Worlds.

New results suggest the process was less catastrophic with matter gently clumping together instead

Scientists aren't any different.

Invent a reason for something, build a case around your guess, and if it sounds good with enough people taken in they'll give you the Nobel prize.

Without it’s gravitational pull keeping us at 23 degrees we’d be dead.

I know this may sound a little pedantic , but without the Moons gravitational pull we'd never have been here in the first place . Something cannot be 'dead' if it never existed at all , it simply would never have been alive Cool

What exactly did "the scientists " get wrong for 60 years. I didn't even know there was a global agreement of scientists regarding the creation of the planets.
The "old school " theory was loads of debris orbiting the sun , gradually "clumping " together by gravity. Not read the new article- is this theory now considered incorrect.

Good news that scientists continue to observe & speculate based on evidence. I guess that is their "job" to look at evidence.

Too many people around today don't bother about evidence but actually believe they know "the truth " because a man on you tube told them.

Scientists are only as good as their individual funding allows them to be. Many wont understand that and others will refuse to believe it. Crazy

How were the planets formed then Terry if you know so much about the subject. I'm interested to know what the scientists got wrong for 60 years.

What have the scientists got to say about the astounding revelation (by lefty cretin 'progressives', Guardian 'journalists' and imbecilic police forces) that men in full possession of their wedding tackle are actually women?

This must surely have rocked the world of science. Why have they not told us about this before? They've only had millions of years to do so.

Injera have you actually read the "articles " on that link.

The "new ice age" stories are based on humans burning more & more coal & blocking out sun. They are also articles based on the views of one or two scientists.
We didn't continue to expand coal use - in UK coal mining pretty much ended.

Btw  Injera - don't suppose you know what theses scientists got wrong for 60 years regarding planets? Apparently this story is so important that the flat Earthers believe it proves all science is wrong & only loon-tubers know the "truth "

Unfortunately nobody will actually explain what the scientists got wrong with the planet formation theory.

What would David Icke do?

No conspiracies..... Nothing to do with climate change .... Just noticed a report on the news (BBC) that scientists now saying new findings suggest that the planets in our SS  were not created the way they thought that they had, for the last 60 odd years.

Too much paranoia on here...
Report Injera • February 16, 2020 12:56 PM GMT
My apologies Mex. I had no idea the UK was the centre of the Universe and it’s coal usage pivotal to global climate!

Those articles are evidence that scientists aren’t to be trusted.

We might be wrong about how Mars formed, scientists have said.

The Red Planet may have taken much longer to form, and done so in an unexpectedly violent way, according to new research.

I think you will find that UK is not alone in reducing large particles pollution (Coal)

Nobody with the ability to think would claim those carefully selected articles (most from the center of the Universe - USA) are evevidence that scientists can8be trusted.

Those capable of thought, logic, science would be asking how widespread were these opinions 50 years ago, why were the predictions made / what was the evidence/reasoning behind the story

And why did the predictions fail.

The uneducated would just believe a 2 hour loon tube video & come to the incorrect conclusion that all scientists are wrong and can't be trusted. Then they will polish their hat before sending Icke money.
