After the 2019 Fishmongers' Hall attack, the creator of the 10-year-old scheme, forensic psychologist Chris Dean, told the BBC there is no certainty all terrorism offenders can be reformed.
It aims to get offenders to think carefully, often over a very long series of counselling sessions, why they chose to turn to terrorist violence. They are asked whether the violence, or support of it, defines their identity.
In some cases, an offender may turn away from violence quickly. But it is often more difficult when prisoners who have spent years in jail, or supporting banned organisations, are involved.

the only way to cure this problem is for the mothers of the country to give up their employment outside the home.
With both parents working nowadays ,children run the streets with no control over them when school closes,they get into the wrong company,once the Mothers of the country get home and stay home to rare their children the good old clip on the ear will sort out a problem that has gone on now for 60 years. Children running round streets uncontrolled make it so easy for the groomers to shape little children's lives. AND THAT IS THE PROBLEM WHERE SOCIETY BREAKS DOWN.And it was governments who sent Mothers out to work in the first place,ITS THEIR FAULT The way society is going.imvho. |

if governments paid a married woman a salary each week to stay at home and rare the children the money would be saved at the other end of the scale with knife crime ,drug addiction,violence,robbery,and break in's and car stealing all stopping ,saving billions upon billions of money.

The terrorists never change their beliefs although they con the authorities into believing otherwise. The only solution is to put them down.
Brassneck makes an interesting point which is worth thinking about although my preference would be to only let people breed only if they have proven themselves to come from decent,working families and are given a licence. Non indiginous Brits should be limited to one child for obvious reasons. |

Nothing meaningful will ever be done to deter or prevent these kinds of terrorists operating in the UK.
We're a soft touch and they know it. They're laughing at us with our free legal representation, human rights, benefits, soft sentences and comfy prisons. It can only get worse. As for deradicalization, you can file that under fantasy or wishful thinking. |

I do not think so myself Our government know the cause but they will never admit it Unfortunately it has given belief in Islam somewhat of a boost I can see other factors now...Islam is not certain to lose, but it will not be decided in our life time |

I do not think we will change the Terrorists cause....
What we must do is to persuade them to protest peacefully and not use violence which frankly is not helping anyone.. Stabbings in gang fights and sex offences have little to do with Terrorism, the normal law suffices for them..or should A little less emphasis on competition and more humanity in our society may help and my favourite legalise pot and weed |
