BBC IS DONE, CANCELLED...GONE WITH THE EU...

By:
Utter scum. Rancid indoctrination of our kids.
Stopped paying them a year ago. They threw a tantrum or 12. Told them I’ll meet to discuss their editorial policy. They refused and backed off. |
By:
Have not paid since 2004, feel really good about it.
Just recently moved, cant wait for them to come round. I have no dish or aerial in my new house. |
By:
I have dish and have the BBC, THEY WON'T BE GETTING ANOTHER PENNY THO!
By:
the british haters have the floor at the bbc
not much better at sky |
By:
![]() & i wont sign up to their reason on not having a tv licence, i want them coming around every week. fook the bbc and fook their outsourcing to aggressive companies. I get a letter every week, i am not signing up to not watching anything. |
By:
but but but how has this situation come about
I have always been on the side of truth and facts and yet, the bbc is held as a biased guardian type liar |
By:
They'll be spending more money chasing unpaid licence fees soon than making programmes.
By:
Tony Rooke summed that mob up perfectly.
By:
Its the most respected news organisation world-wide. I love it, and think the country will be a much worse place without it. I'd happily pay double
By:
Nish Kumar is a total brit hating racist, yet the BBC golden boy, tells all you need to know...if a white comedian had told the crowd to go home and kill their black parents would have been sacked, great when Kumar does the same tho!

There was a novara virus China rescue chap on this morning, filming himself from where he was staying. It was hilarious as he started by stating how happy he was to be in an independent Britain (nod to Brexit!), and proceeded to explain how well he was being treated, couldn't ask for better, got anything they needed etc. That was definitely not the required agenda, so of course Naga was constantly talking over everything he was trying to say. What a refreshing change, an interviewee not an offended victim for once and grateful for the UK authorities.
I'm afraid to say, those type of instances are increasingly rare, the BBC is now out of touch, out of date, its days in its current guise are numbered. |
By:
Naga another, Diversity and pc agenda killed the BBC, the top 50 places to live published yesterday...the connection? lowest diversity...shove it!
By:
"diversity is our strength" yeah if you are in the trojan horse!

Like many I suspect, I feel the BBC had a terrific amount of value. No institution that size is going to be without issue, but any corporation that can be involved in producing shows like Planet Earth (&II) was doing something right. Broadcast television has turned in a preachy cult of wokeness, unfortunately.

Its the most respected news organisation world-wide. Only by those who accept woke nonsense these days. They are force-feeding the population a large daily portion of minority tosh on the website, the majority of license payers seem to be regarded as irrelevant. This will change if they have to earn their living. |
By:
Finally accepted that they have to reduce news staff but it is the trashy "entertainment" that needs to be culled.
By:
Mate of mine said to me " I get my news from the BBC" and hell does it show,he believes every lie they say.
By:
if you don't like the BBC then I think you probably don't like the British.
I challenge any of you BBC haters to name a better TV station..... Anywhere in the world. |
By:
If there isn't a better station then that doesn't automatically make the BBC great. Maybe they're all ****.

Piers Morgan
@piersmorgan · 7h Why is the BBC paying nasty pieces of work like Kumar to trash Britain like this? An outrageous, shameful abuse of public money. |

Escapee - with regards to what?
Sport? Don’t be silly. Soaps? I’d rather soak in acid. Documentaries? Countless broadcasters match them. News? RT, Al jaz...basically anyone that has a world view. BBC = Anti América/Russia and ambivalent to the rest. Comedy? All the good, old stuff is on Gold. Investigation? You mean John Sweeney (sacked)? Dramas? The beeb is great for virtue signalling box ticking, but sky and Netflix are 20 years ahead of dear old aunty. What’s left? Radio? Humphreys (Mr R4) was scathing in retreat. Which shows the cowardice of their gimps. Lineker calls for a subscription service and nearly all programmes rely on the public phoning up!! |

Let me spell it out for you, I dont need the BBC to be proud of my country, the BBC was brilliant up till about 20 years ago...since then it has become a sub arm of the EU news outlet and pc woke crap everywhere, just look at the state of the current Doctor Who...
Injera got it correct above, read it slowly if you need to... |
By:
and they swallow this independent rubbish
it is about as independent and neutral as the guardian which is where they take their direction from every day anyway |
By:

Add to that : Untrustworthy and agenda-driven and you have our current State broadcaster and all of the state propaganda and 'fake news' that goes with it . |

Escapee, it is not matter of whether it is better or worse, although in many ways I think they are poor. It is a matter of whether the outdated funding model. It forces everyone who wishes to watch any channel to pay the BBC license fee even if they don't use the BBC from one year to the next. While I might be persuaded that a reformed BBC news gathering service on radio and TV is worth a fee, I certainly would not pay one penny for any of their other output. There are now dozens of channels out there who can and do produce programmes of equivalent quality and in a better format. I could name at least 6 stretches of motorway or trunk roads in the south west where Radio 5 live is not available due to poor coverage. That is unacceptable for a so called national broadcaster and BBC1 is not even in HD yet at the local news level.
By:
It's the way it's funded that's the problem
Even if you hate everything the BBC stands for, you've got no choice but to contribute towards it if you want to watch live TV. There's no place for what the BBC has become in a democracy. |
By:
Institutions like the BBC are a very important pillar of democracy.

Didn't lovely Boris hint that he might make non-payment of the licence fee a non-criminal offence?
By:
He should also boycott broadcast television, along with his MPs.
