I think that peoples genuine religious beliefs should be respected.

“The Super League Board accepts the legalities around the RFL’s decision to register Israel Folau, and the Board has voted unanimously to put in place measures that ensure the Super League has greater authority to stop controversial signings such as this in the future.

The Super League is investigating after two spectators say they were told to remove rainbow flags during Israel Folau's debut at Catalans Dragons.  "Everybody should have the right to respectfully express their views. We are investigating," said the league.

I can't for the life of me understand why this Irish baker would wish to play Rugby League . Gaelic Football or Hurling maybe , but Rugby League ?

I am not taking issues with Follau but I read his statement. He didn’t single out gay people. It was not particularly nice what he said but his Old Testament was aimed at a number of groups of which homosexuals were just one.

It seems the people who want a row are focused on his homophobic views. Tbh both sides seem to just want a row

It’s odd that folk get offended by people they either don’t know, don’t like or both.

I get offended if someone close has an unnecessary pop at me. If someone I’d never met before called me a bonehead I would just smile.

It is sad that probably the most honest and and decent person in this argument is Israel Folau.

I think he holds his views honestly. I also think it is sad that he believes some old pony not written by God but by man.

Let the man play his Rugby.  End of story.  He needs to make a living to feed his family.
