He was host on a quiz show I did  back in the day called King Of The Castle, think there were ten of us he only spoke to the winner afterwards & made no effort to speak to anyone else on the show which I thought was pretty poor & he came over very aloof.

He was cornered as these internal policies now simply defer to the individual/complainant's interpretation. 'Leering' was recently added at my workplace. So if a female accuses you of leering, your career could be toast.

I can understand why he was fired. What I cannot understand is why he apologized? He had already lost his job, so what was there to lose? Was he afraid his pension, if he has one, might go too? He can't be a simpleton after spending so many years in this field. Why did he let them fk him? And afterwards apologized for allowing himself to get fkd?

Cases like these trivialise the word racist to the extent that it will be meaningless soon.

The word used to conjure up a nasty person who hates others purely for what they are.
Now it's just someone who goes a little too far taking the pee, or another who makes a slip of the tongue.
Or simply gets misunderstood like the newscaster here.
People who take offence in these circumstances usually have an agenda based on their own hatred of others.

even those defending him,his friends, workmates are giving the game away by saying he was trying to be clever,to clever by half, etc, which suggests he knew what he was posting, who to,and why,
it wasn't a random quote to a random poster,if his friends/ workmates are to be believed he knew the colour, race of the person he was sending the quote to,
I keep repeating this on all these racist thread,s ,they are always defending middle class, educated people who say these type of things, but when someone of an estate say dsimilar those supposedly in the no,say the fact these words ,phrases are there on the tip of their tongue, touch of a finger, ensconced in their mind is whaty makes them racist ,as well as the actual phrase

Just because we don't like certain people doesn't mean we wish them any harm.

And because we shun them doesn't mean we don't like them either.

Two people apply for a job, you think if I employ that one I'll have to guard every word I utter while he's here. And he could take me to court if I sack him.
While if I employ the other I can speak freely, with no problems if I have to let him go.

Which one would you employ?

He's allowed to include Shakespeare's words in a quote to respond to someone who happens to be white, but not black. So a black person is allowed to use the same quote in response to a black person. Ergo, Stewart is guilty in the world of woke purely because of the colour of his skin. Ergo white people are expected to modify their language depending upon the race of the person they are communicating with. I would call that racist.

Cider. you don't have the right to tell other people what they should be offended by, just the right to ignore their faux offence, which is what Stewart should have done.
By:

When: 30 Jan 20 11:53
Causing people to feel offended is in itself not a crime. Or at least it dam well shouldn't be. How an earth can anyone be in control of how another person interprets or misinterprets something. News flash, opportunist people will weaponise that power given half a chance.

difficult to ignore if you might lose your job of course.

As dr. Crippen says if you own your own business be very careful who you hire, its not worth taking the chance if its a pillock like this guy who may be so stupid his misunderstanding could cost you your job, or more again
By:

And in work be very careful who you associate with, socially also

not worth the risk, a very high percentage of people cant be trusted

Terry Christian wishes death on people who voted to leave and ITV invites him on to GMTV to air his views

That's it in a nutshell, the woke, student union, virtue signalling, libertarian ideologues are forcing people to stay in their 'safe' bubble. Why communicate with a black person where he could potentially deliberately twist a word out of place and cost me my job. It's not analogous with their egalitarian outcome agenda though!

so you must be guarded about every word you speak to everyone,so you wont have a problem will you,

rav singh defending him on itv says she often calls her son a little monkey, dont believe it

but that's not the point what would singh say if I,danny baker or kids in the playground called her son a little monkey

Then again you might lose your job, if it comes to redundancies . Quotas have to be maintained, individual managers might be wary of paying off someone from an ethnic minority for fear of a charge of racism, might be a motive even subconscious to pay of the white British worker
Less possible problems, easier just not to take that chance
a very real chance in todays world

lfc1971, a friend of mine would never employ non white people for fear of having to get rid of them if they wasn't up to the job.
and he's wife who helps run the company is mixed race, it was her idea.

all claiming to be men of the world, run businesses etc on here but if anyone think a male white man is not prone to using whatever he has to try and save his job,put a claim in,etc, etc really hasn't come up from under the duvet for at east 25 years, without good reason its virtually impossible to sack anyone of any gender, colour, faith these days ,certainly in big companies, stewart, mcpartland, driving cars drunk as skunks, high as kites rather proves the point, plus the 2 loons on itv willourby/schofield on their yearly ritual turning up for work bragging about been drunk as a coooont, when its instant dismissal or treatment for drink rtelated problems in most modern companies

I decided not to post it because it could have been used to secure a ban against me.

There was nothing abusive in it, it was merely factual comment.

But in the hysterical climate we live in you can never be sure.

The court case would have been stunningly entertaining as I imagine that it would involve a great deal of Shakespeare and a judge asking obviously biased questions.
