It makes you wonder if it’s worth having nice things.
At about 4 o’clock in the morning they broke into his house to get the keys for his fancy car.
He tried to stop them and ended up with many broken bones including the pelvis.
He’ll probably never fully recover.
It’s instinctive to defend one’s property but some people will stop at nothing.

We are fast approaching the sort of guarded compounds that are the norm in many other countries. Only paid guards will keep anything valuable safe these days. The police priorities are fatal traffic accidents when they take great satisfaction in closing a motorway for 12 hours. And of course chasing after people accused of racist chants in football stadia.
If there were enough police they could keep tabs on these a-holes.
Also if job prospects were better perhaps lives of crime would be a lesser option.

Incredibly two 14 year old boys have been arrested.

More a case of what has socialist minded politicians done to our country?
I heard the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Service in London taking calls on the radio his morning.
She sounded more like a social worker in charge of the police than someone paid for keeping the peace and bringing criminals to book.
She could answer all the questions no problem at all, but smooth talking puppets are the last thing we need when criminal are free to do as they like and we're not safe in our homes.

Whether or not the boys did this under their own enterprise I do not know.
Perhaps they did. Perhaps they operated under some Fagin type figure(s).

I've noticed a lot of people having sturdy high railings built around their properties.
In the old days they used to build walls with pieces of glass cemented to the top.
Of course a piece of thick carpet defeats that and you'll be liable if anyone hurts themselves when they trying to steal from you or assault you.
God forbid that anyone should hurt themselves when they're trying to do that.
What a country, that protects those who are operating out side of the law from their victims.
