Where were the guys from she accused?
By:
They don't know she's innocent, they wanted a fair trial, the Israels that allegedly raped her were let go to fly back to Israel by the cypriots. Seems you presume she was guilty?

Women are in a very vulnerable position , so are men
What a world we live in , don’t trust anyone |

Stewarts rise
I’m presuming nothing, I’m asking how can those women outside court know she;s innocent? They arn’t there for a fair trial, they are ‘anti rape’ |
By:
What I can’t get my head around is how all those women chanting outside the court along with women’s’ lib around the planet and even the British foreign office can possibly know she’s innocent?
Possibly from the medical evidence that indicated she had been raped? |
By:
What kind of evidence is that then?
Anything other than an innocent verdict wouldn’t be enough for those with the banners and stitched lips outside of court How can they possibly know, she didn’t give consent and then was guilty of wasting police time? |
By:
They arn’t there for a fair trial, they are ‘anti rape’
By implication are you pro rape dustybin? |
By:
I see the case against the film producer is now considered a trial on the *metoo movement.
That in itself is saying anything other than guilty isn’t acceptable |
By:
That’s the wording they chose not me
By:
so you are not anti rape?
Have you been following any of this? Do you really believe this girl asked 12 boys to come and gang bang her? |
By:
I’m ambivalent based on not knowing what happened, that’s for the court to determine.
Telling the court what the outcome needs to be doesn’t sound much like justice to me |
By:
You are not ambivalent dusty you are ignorant and even worse shooting your mouth off about things you do not know about and that makes you stupid!
By:
How so?
The assumption by all the parties involved are that they know the girl was raped. How can they know? |
By:
How is asking a question based on logic ‘shooting my mouth off’?
By:
I’m ambivalent based on not knowing what happened, that’s for the court to determine.
The fact you title your posting 'gangbang' as opposed to 'gang rape' suggests otherwise. |
By:
Mere colloquialism.
I made it quite clear I am being objective, I was asking why others were not. |
By:
Its a fair question and the reason I don't understand rape accusations and trials, especially ones that come out years after they happened. It is impossible to prove whether the woman just framed the man or not. Proof of sex is basically proof of rape. And i'm surprised with all the feminism stuff around, rape accusations aren't a norm. You have sex with someone with consent, then claim it was rape, there's no way out for the man, right?
By:
Just saying in general, not for this particular case where its hard to see how it could be with consent.
By:
it is difficult to prove but i suspect this case has become very high profile because its looks like she wasnt treated well legally from the start by the police and then the judge
By:
I’ve seen the case mentioned repeatedly from differing news aggregates and each one has shaped the story around a corrupt judicial system and innocent girl.
I even read a brief extract yesterday about an interview with one of the boys who seemingly has the audacity to say he will pursue her for deformation when she returns. The article said hey had no consideration about her situation’ Well he wouldn’t if he believes he is falsely accused of rape. |
By:
People shouldn't go to court in a country they don't live in. Legal systems don't work the same everywhere. But if you accuse someone of something, you have to think about how you will prove it before you accuse them. Otherwise you're asking for trouble.

By:
A court in Cyprus is never wasting its time taking on citizens of another country in a rape accusation from a citizen of another country.
By:
you mean they will make it look what is better for cyprus rather than individual justice
By:
Do you really believe this girl asked 12 boys to come and gang bang her?
That's a very compelling piece of evidence that she was raped, what teenage girl would consent to 12 men penetrating her? |
By:
None, unless they were 'in the business', dusty must have been watching too many films.
By:
By:
probally not but isnt this case about the cyprus police and judge pushing for no trial from the start for some reason despite evidence that she could or was raped
By:
Consent or not number 12 (if there was such a thing) must have grown up in a swamp

As he delivered the verdict, Judge Papathanasiou said: "The defendant gave police a false rape claim, while having full knowledge that this was a lie.
"During her testimony, the defendant did not make a good impression, she did not tell the truth, and tried to mislead the court." He added "there was no rape or violence" and police had thoroughly investigated, "making all necessary arrests." The judge said his decision was backed up by video evidence showing her having consensual sex. "The reason why she initially gave false statements was because she realised that she was being recorded while she was having sexual intercourse and so she was placed in a difficult position and felt embarrassed. "She then apologised saying she had made a mistake by filing a false statement." How does one find out if the judge is making this stuff up? She is on video having sex right before the alleged rape happened. They say the proof of rape was dismissed by court. But how do you prove a woman was penetrated by 12 people and not one or two? Is that possible? |

By:
The judge dismissed, and therefore heard none of the case for the defence

By:
Four things that I find deeply worrying and extremely difficult to comprehend or accept given the accused is only 19 years old and a Uni undergraduate:-
1) no sexual history of the 19yr old made public to support the charge against her? 2) the number of men involved? 3) the men were allowed to return to their homes only after a very short investigation? 4) the men have been very silent and inconspicuous since their release? |

I even read a brief extract yesterday about an interview with one of the boys who seemingly has the audacity to say he will pursue her for (deformation) when she returns. Is that because she used force to change his shape or do you mean (defamation) as in defamation of character. Could be important when it goes to court. ![]() |

Just as Im not pro gun, stabbing, theft, murder, etc. My point typically was around how parties viewing the case could be adamant either way. crystalhunt • January 7, 2020 3:42 PM GMT dustybin 07 Jan 20 12:15 I even read a brief extract yesterday about an interview with one of the boys who seemingly has the audacity to say he will pursue her for (deformation) when she returns. No reflection on this girl at all but it is nonsense to say no woman will have consensual sex with 12 men.
When on holiday in Spain some years ago a tour rep was taking on all comers (so to speak). My mate joined the queue but i cant say it appealed to me. |
