I would venture to suggest, respectfully of course, that it's probably the non the least religious of humanity who turn it into a circus. I doubt that the truly religious have a need to shout about it. They just do what they do among their own kind.
I to appreciate the time off work, but I'm not really bothered about the roast turkey gig nowadays. The wife will be cooking a crown later but I won't partake of an actual xmas-dinner. We/she will have a couple of relatives over for dinner, I shall retire to my bedroom until they've gone and then I shall pick at the leftovers. At other times of the year I cook my own meals, nothing to rave about, I eat well enough.
