Xmas Story For My Grandson....

...Age Four

Not sure that here is a good place to air my this years story, but just perhaps there are some "Old Softies" like me


It was Christmas Eve and had been snowing all day, but in the house it was warm as toast!

Ollie was super excited and was watching "Toy Story om TV".

He was snuggled up with Lucas and his best friends....Foxy, Ringo, Little Foxy and Welsh Foxy that he sometimes calls Thoynog...

Daddy said "time for bed now Ollie" so big brother Lucas picked him up with his "Foxy Friends"and tucked him up in bed wth his foxy friends....

Ollie gathered them up, and was asking where is Welsh Foxy,where is Thoynog?

Lucas said "don't worry, when you wake up he will be here"....and with that Ollie fell sound and fast asleep....

He was soon dreaming about Toy Story, but now this was different, because the characters were all his foxy friends!

They knew that Welsh Foxy was missing, and looked everywhere for him,but not a sign of him in the house!

Ringo said, he wondered if he had gone outside, where it was cold and snowy, so they opened the front door but not a sign of him, but what they saw was an enormous "Snow Fox" that Welsh Foxy must have made, and it looked exactly like him!

Foxy said that he had to be found soon, because it was so cold outside!
Where on earth could he be?

Ringo said, I bet he has gone to Wales, as he is always talking about how nice it is,and some of his friends from school live there.

We must get there fast, because we need to get him back before Ollie wakes up,but how can we possibly get there because it's a very long way and we don't know where to go?

Little Foxy said "we could ask Lucas if he will take us in the car because we are too young, and too small to drive.

Foxy asked Lucas, but he said that he had never driven the car before, but he had, sort of, driven a racing car on his PS4, so he should be ok to drive an ordinary car

So off they set, but it was very snowy and cold, and they got stuck on the motorway so Foxy, and Ringo, and Little Foxy had to get out of the car and push it!

It was a very long way, and they wondered if they would ever find Welsh Foxy but luckily, when they arrived, there he was, in the hot tub, with his welsh friends!

Welsh Foxy was really glad to see them and said he was very sorry if they had been worried about him, and asked them to jump into the hot tub and have a glass of wine, and Lucas could make sausages and burgers on the BBQ!

Welsh Foxy had seen that all his friends had colourful Christmas scarves, with Holly and Santas on them, and one of his friends, called Taffy Jones, said "take mine as I have another one at home".

They were all very tired and Welsh Foxy asked if he could go back with them, and they said "of course you can"!
They got stuck twice, in the snow on the motorway, but now had four foxies to push!

Ringo said "what's that whizzing across the sky" and soon they realised that it was Santa in his sledge with his reindeers, and heading straight for Roberttown!

We had better be quick said Ringo, as we don't want to get in the way when he gets there!

It was a very long way, and when the arrived they could see that santa had been, and gone!!

Little Foxy said "Let's just climb into bed with Ollie, and not tell him what happened, as he will just be really happy that Thoynog is back, safe and sound"!
So they all climbed into bed and snuggled down, and went straight to sleep, as they were so tired after their big exciting adventure.
Soon Ollie woke up, and was glad to see that Thoynog was back, and had a beautiful Christmas scarf on, just like the one in his dream!
