I thought the polis arrested people for going the WRONG WAY up a one way street.mmmmmm

Like in Orwell's Animal Farm; everybody's equal but some people are more equal than others.

Nottingham is like the Bermuda triangle
![]() If I advised anyone of anything it'd be to get out of here pretty sharpish, go somewhere semi normal like Preston/Rochdale |
By:
Nottingham reminds me of Royston Vasey from The League Of Gentleman
Vary strange place esp the villages |
By:
They used to call it positive discrimination. Get rid of the bad word and we can pretend there are no losers.
By:
The villages are rather strange around there. Massive in-breeding.
By:
It used to be said that on a night out in the city centre, women massively outnumber men.
By:
The result of the in-breeding leads to a full head of hair for men in their 60`s but a much lower
life expectancy. You may think i`m joking. |
By:
so,in other words not too many in their 60s with a full barnet
By:
Positive Discrimination is counterproductive without the necessary talent or coaching. However, I do agree if a post eg Head of Disability must be a disabled person preferably a sufferer who faces the same challenges to fully understand and appreciate what appropriate measures to implement to make a difference.
By:
No bully, if they reach their 60`s they all have the same thick mop.
By:
'if'..Shanelee..but as u say given the breeding habits most don't make it to 60..ain't just Nottingham and the environs..whole country is fked

I wonder how much money this PATRA shyte has had thrown at it , Obviously a portal to Local Government ,Other than that
some people are Probably getting the lot . |
By:
What do we expect, it's just another Labour council supporting discrimination.
By:
Discrimination can be justified in law if two criteria are satisfied:
1) If the discrimination is considered to advance a 'noble cause' 2) If the action you take in pursuit of the 'noble cause' is proportionate I think in recent years the most notable example of positive discrimination/affirmative action would be all female shortlists for selecting an MP. |

I lived in London for 50 years and hardly saw any back then. A relative who was in the MET told me they had tried to recruit ethnics over the years but stopped wasting money with costly 'drives' as they realised they won't join because if they do they are immediately ostracized by their own community.
By:
^^^^^ That may of course have changed inthe past 20 years?.As Dr C says...another Labour council supporting discrimination. But hey why should they care it's not their money.
