You are no fun alun. Just get back in your reactionary freak's cave. If they don't release any what would all the 'authorities and services' have to do? A lot of jobs would go.
Let's have a bit of empathy at winterval. thank you |

Shooting dead people who have different beliefs is not the way to go.

also it is much more trendy and on message to follow the other path

Useless debate. The problem is still there irrespective of whether the guy served half the sentence or full.

Labour will allow the ISIS volunteer army back into the country and after an interval, back onto the streets.
If you vote labour you are endorsing this policy. |

The big issue is monitoring and security. No way anyone with or without a previous record should have gained access to that hall carrying 2 knives and body armour.

A mere 48 hours after the latest London terror atrocity, he's been playing to his beloved gallery of Peace-Loving Sharia Law Umpteen Million Block Voters.
Absolutely. The good news is it will do Labour's general election prospects no good at all. He'll need more than just that lot to get elected. |
|
By:
He even found time to confirm his 100% backing for the unapologetic Jihadi Terrorist Shamima Begum to return to Britain.
She was married to one...not one herself I believe. Since ISIS appear to be nearly finished, I would let her back Not going to make me popular on this thread ![]() |

johnson had a queens speech, which passed reading in house of commons before an election was called
he planned legislation on sentencing... The Queen's Speech included a Sentencing Bill, which would change "the automatic release point from halfway to the two-thirds point for adult offenders serving sentences of four years or more for serious violent or sexual offences". so he cant really claim he had no imput into that proposal now and clearly at that point had not intent of seeing prisoners serve full term... |
|
By:
An error was clearly made on releasing the man responsible for the stabbings
I can see that |
|
By:
Some prisoners do reform....but we do need to get this right
I don't think realease should be automatic, an assessment must be made |
|
By:
would he have been given 16 years if he was to serve 100% of sentence.
chances are the sentences are inflated because they only serve half, and its a good incentive to behave in prison. |

Aye, give em 90 and let em do 45.

sentenced and trialed under tory government, released under a tory government, tagged monitored ,even had to get permission to travel to London on Friday, under a tory government, but its labour,s fault,
common sense says corbyns right to say every sentence is different, lock,m up throw away the key is no policy, their coming out at sometime |

Nothing is Corbyn's fault, the useless fecker has never done owt. It's what he would do that scares people.
|
|
By:
With over 70 of these terrorists at large on early release, I'd round the lot up and put them back into jail pronto.
And lock Corbyn away with them. |
|
By:
some of these guys should be on full life tariff, they will never be safe
others will change. we need to be better at getting it right and i doubt politics will help. |
|
By:
I don't care if they change, let them die in jail.
|
|
By:
saddo is right...it is inconceivable that a Moslem terrorist will ever be safe for release into the community. They should be hanged within 24 hours of being convicted.

It takes one terrorist to kill two people after serving half his sentence.
How many people can the terrorist kill after serving the full sentence? A. 0 B. 2 C. 4 |
|
By:
None if he is hobbled by old age on release.
|
|
By:
tories can lock the 70 up because as usual Johnson shoots from the hip and Johnson and buckland today have said they cant do anything ,hands are tied because of labours,2008 law,if they lock,m up it,ll show, like we all no Johnson and buckland are lying,
they,ll just have to sit there ,cross your fingers and hope none of those 70 commit an attack, thats the tories keeping us safe finger in the air and hope |
|
By:
cant lock ,m up

This is the basic rule of politics. if you can't do something its the other party's fault. 9 years in power and they can still feed that nonsense to the people. Just goes to show how stupid they think the public is. |
|
By:
the public is stupid, not all of it of course.

Politicians can't overrule the judiciary in this country. There are times when it is very frustrating but it is probably for the best. I just hope it applies to taxation as well as I fear losing my ISA savings if labour get short of money.

Did the multiple taxi driver rapist not have his parole overturned because of a public outcry and challenged in the High Court by one of his victims?
If "chicken" Corbyn actually said "terrorists should not necessarily serve full sentences" as in the header of this thread then once again "chicken" Corbyn could be a public nuisance if getting the key to Number 10 on 13th Dec 2019? If convicted for terrorism then prudent to deny them freedom for a very long time say at least 50 years. |

There were 8 other guys who plead guilty in 2010 alongside this chap. I wonder where they are? Even Boris was on their hit list.
|
|
By:
And among the guys that brought the guy down, one was named Mo and one was a polish migrant. I'm surprised the mayor or Corbyn haven't made a story out of this. It fits very well into their election campaign.

In America one of the sports coaches who violated his charges was given over 200 years (in total) imprisonment, and he was in his early 40's, I think. If he comes out alive he'd be over 240 years old - the oldest person ever recorded to be alive and kicking.

By:
For the amount of muslim countries the americans have invaded, and the ease of obtaining weapons over there, they have surprisingly low number of terrorist attacks. They are easily the most hated country in the muslim world but their muslims dont go around stabbig people. Why?

Great question, DT, all your posts on this thread (at least the ones I'v seen) are spot on

Thanks boxing. I strive to one day be even better and graduate to the politics forum. But some have told me chit chat is the ultimate test.
