"sexuality of giraffes": Maybe Butler might have been better suited with a career in animal science than representing people in politics. Remember the tv advert of Churchill Insurance? That specimen was doing the same gesture as Butler, if memory serves - the specimen did it with a smiley face too unlike your comrade.

To answer the OP, perhaps this link from after the previous London Bridge attack might give us a clue as to why we haven't seen Dopey Diana since before the recent one?

STOP THE CLOCKS, REMEMBER THIS DAY.

It is being reported that Abbott's son has been CHARGED with "BITING A POLICE OFFICER".   (Yes, you read that correctly). Charged yesterday, case to be heard in February.

I'm sure this is a silly big old misunderstanding. For one thing, we all know the Shadow Home Secretary has huge respect for the police and intelligence services, right?

And we ALL also know that police officers look just like bars of Cadbury's chocolate, so it's hardly surprising they get bitten. I actually ate two delicious ones myself only yesterday, which maybe explains the reduced number of police officers on the streets this last few years.

Invisible Abbott Senior has since pulled out of a TV debate tomorrow. There's a surprise.

Not fake news, I hope. If so, not conducive being the son of the shadow home secretary. Has she withdrawn from the scheduled tv debate tomorrow too? it seems she'd been deputised by Louise Haigh.

Apparently, her son was sacked from the Rome Embassy job just recently. Maybe that could be why she hangs on to her political position despite her health and longevity in the same post. What a privilege for some?

The Daily Telegraph reporting that attempts were made to gag them printing this story. A truly incredible development.

UPDATE: Guido understands Abbott has pulled out of a TV Debate tomorrow. She has been subbed in for by Shadow Policing Minister, Louise Haigh.

What an absolute shame.  Sod paying to watch football; I'd pay to watch Diane Abbott in a debate.  Just imagine the hilarities we'll now be missing out on.

I'm a tolerant person however this bloody woman drives me to despair as to what this country has become. The sooner the bloated hypocrite and her disgusting son are 'gone' the better.

Indeed.

Let's hope that Conservative proposals to give stiffer sentences to those found guilty of attacking Police Officers will come to pass. I'm sure Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott will give this plan her 190% support.

I think it is hilarious how some papers are silent on this matter.  Of course one paper has no room to print anything as all space is taken up by much more important issues - like the homophobic nature of The fairy tale of new york  - much more important.

Why have so many of the Uk Media outlets been so slow/shy to report this ?

There was no 'secrecy' involving the charges being bought, and there can't be any conceivable reason why the charges can't be given the widest audience.

There is also a very clear Public Interest in this case, given the mother of the accused could be in charge of the police on December 13th, and when the case eventually crawls to court. Perish the thought there might be any possible conflict of interest.

although they have been hiding her from the media  she does pop up in a triple poster begging letter for 1 or 3 pounds for the party
her face is in the middle one.  You see the game to play still  - a good image but keeping her out of the media spotlight.  It is a bit worrying.

"why have so many of the UK media outlets so slow/shy to report this?"

This is an extraordinary and sensitive time - it's the election. Also, the offender is the son of the shadow home sec of the main Opposition Party. And, it could have racial connotation.

123   they didn't have the same care or balance when it was johnson's turn
and no offence had been committed  - the press and tv were all over it for weeks

seems there is one rule for one and a different for another

so you think this is racially sensitive do you

and they tried to stop the telegraph  ho ho ho
By:
impossible123
When: 04 Dec 19 19:21
Some weak fool might think it's racially sensitive, but not me. I think it's more because it's election time, who his mum is, and her position of the main Opposition Party.

Maybe he was sacked for over-cooking his proficiency in the Italian lingo or his "posh" accent did not suit the Italian ears.

Bojo is paper-selling, and today's politician - he was also running to be leader of The Conservative Party. In contrast Ms Abbott is yesterday; lacking everything Bojo is eg no talent; inarticulate; a numbers (salary) person.

was Bojo's girlfriend's neighbour not a Labour sympathiser?
By:

When: 04 Dec 19 19:36
yeah  opposition of some sort but just anti johnson

and you can't have the papers having a go against her  - wrong sort of target
By:
impossible123
When: 04 Dec 19 19:47
If the media have had a go at Ms Abbott (and/or her son) it could instigate sufficient sympathy votes that could scupper a majority for Bojo next week.
