A man has been charged with two counts of rape after a teenager was attacked in a Birmingham park.

Mohammed Jama, of Granville Street, Ladywood, appeared before Birmingham Magistrates this morning (November 27) and has been remanded in custody.

He is due to appear next at Birmingham Crown Court on December 10.

Police, acting on information following a previous appeal, arrested the 45-year-old on Monday night.

The victim, a 14-year-old girl, was attacked in Kingfisher Country Park at 12pm on October 4.
