It's like listening to a stuck record with Labour always on about the NHS.
It would close down under Labour, they'd run out of money to fund it. |

ours is doing quite well although the demographic shift has an effect
that is why so many oppose a third runway |

Allah help the NHS if Corbyn comes to power. Milions of new immigrants, ALL of whom will doubtless qualify for free treatment, and YOU the taxpayer will be paying the bill.
Oh, and the ultimate ambition is that you'll only be able to use the service for 4 days of the week. The other 3 days will doubtless need to be set aside for prayer at the local centre for Holy Studies and Learnings. |

1) The NHS should be for British citizens only. Non-nationals should pay. Doctors are against this; they think your taxes should pay for healthcare for the entire world.
2) Make public everything the NHS buys, from whom they buy it and how much they pay. We all know what happens: a company sells a product for £1, the NHS come calling and the price rises to £6. Name and shame those who rip the NHS off. This would save a lot of money. Simply pouring more money into the NHS is not good enough if we don't know where it's going. |

Agree with lib's second point.
Regarding his first, I can only assume he'd want foreigners to pay a lower rate of tax so they're not paying double for the NHS. |

I get extremely angry when I hear The NHS repeatedly criticised for long waiting time and under-funding. For goodness sake The NHS is a free health service thus a bit of wait is expected. If I'm ill (thank god I've been pretty healthy so far) I'd not be ungrateful or upset if I've to wait a bit for free treatment.
However, repeat offenders/users who over-indulged and neither hereditary nor genetic predisposition I've little sympathy for. Maybe a charge/donation request per visit could be implemented to deter repeat offenders. |

'Of the 54 million adults in the UK in 2014-15, 31 million paid income tax – which means that around 43% of adults in the UK do not earn enough to pay income tax.'
The majority of migrants are low paid and will pay no tax imo. |

Migrants? Those from South Asia with loud mouths and chips on their shoulders. Ya, black economy eg mini-cabbing and catering.

The waiting times have gradually increased throughout the Cameron/May administrations. |

Another Irish accent on question time lecturing Britain on how to run the NHS
What’s she doing here I thought the Irish wanted independence , what a cheek |

People in Britain under the NHS are 4 tines more likely to die than US citizens undergoing similar operations, it is simply not working for British people

People need educated on how to live a healthier life, ridiculous the levels of obesity now, the number of people still smoking and alcohol consumption rates. And my real pet hate the bloody number of people with mental problems and depression, grow a fking backbone and sort your life out instead of blaming society and expecting the rest of us to pick up the bill for your woes.

I name and shame politicians who promise fantasy land increases in expenditure on the NHS without any focus on the results of this spending. It's the equivalent of you going into Tesco's an yelling as loudly as you can 'Ive got £250 to spend and I don't care what I spend it on - it's got to be spent!' and then expecting not to be ripped off. |

Bit harsh that mate - I agree with the first part but depression isn't a lifestyle choice. My sister has worked all her life as a care assistant(30 yrs), but following bereavement and other issues now struggles with depression and is doing well on medication. Hopefully nobody in your family suffers in this way. Doesn't sound like they would get much sympathy from you. |

Under the Conservatives, investment in the NHS per capita is at an all time low, more NHS work is therefore being hived off to the growing private sector. I should know, I've just had four appointments and an operation in a private(American owned and run) hospital. Like the Police and other services, the NHS has been under funded to allow private companies to proliferate.
By:
America invests tremendous sums of money and time and skill into research and development in medicine with no assurance of a successful outcome ,
We in Britain and the rest of the world benefit from this , if we are not able to put in the money and expertise pipe down and try and be more thankful to America and the American people |

Apologies, I've just checked on the google machine, it's Canadian owned.

Like the Police and other services, the NHS has been under funded to allow private companies to proliferate. All our services are at breaking point for one reason only, we've brought millions in and we can't afford to cater for them. |
By:
I take your point saddo and agree that the lack of planning and investment needed to provide a decent NHS falls squarely on Government.

By:
Under no circumstances vote for labour , a four day week will add to the problems , already there are too many part time doctors and staff
We are going to have to look at cutting the cost of the NHS , not throw more and more money at it Big changes needed , Labour will not address the fundamental problems |
By:
i thought boris said he was putting more money into the nhs than anyone before,so dont vote for boris either then
By:
It's unfortunate that some people equate investment in such simple terms as 'throw more and more money at it'. Investment in improvements can and should result in long term savings. You only need to look at the archaic IT systems that were frozen by ransomware.
By:
Indeed, spend it better, and don't give it away to people who have no right to it.
By:
the nhs does not make money , it consumes it
By:
It is not possible to run an efficient health service free at the point of care
Unless you stop freedom of movement and control immigration These are the main underlying problems , have to be addressed |
By:
There can't be many -if any - other countries you can enter illegally and get any amount of instant free healthcare.
By:
So you see it depends on what you spend the money , maybe a good IT system that delivers that would be a good investment
By:
By the way , labour will NEVER do that
By:
never do what ?
By:
They will never stop freedom of movement. And they will never stop the National heath service
Being used as a world health service .. costing billions every year |
By:
If you’re happy for that continue that’s fine , vote labour
They will bankrupt the country |
By:
very true but labour havent been in power for a fair few years now and nothing has changed and i would never vote labour
By:
Ah , we have just had a vote to leave the EU , the tories held the referendum
Have you forgotten ? |
